As soon as she got out of the water, Jocelyn Carrington collapsed to the ground just like Becca Reyes.
She lifted her eyes and glanced at Flossie Wright, saying weakly, "Thanks."
Flossie shrugged her shoulders.
Four or five minutes later, Oscar Bluen blew a whistle, signaling the others in the pool to get out as well.
"Everyone, untie the ropes and rest for five minutes," announced Oscar with a resonant voice that echoed through the loudspeakers, giving all the trainees a sigh of relief.

Finally, no more tying those annoying ropes!
Among these trainees were many skilled individuals.
Some, after several binding exercises, had already learned how to untie the knots themselves. With a slight movement of their wrists, they could easily get free.
Flossie was one of them.
Thus, Becca and others also picked up the technique. As soon as Oscar’s words had finished, Becca, Jocelyn, and Belinda had their ropes untied.
Oscar gave them a cold glance but said nothing.
Having untied her ropes, Becca moved her wrists and then crawled over to Flossie, tilting her head and asking curiously, "Are you going to let us in on what the next training is?"
"I don’t know," responded Flossie in a muted tone.
"Aren’t you the temporary instructor?" Becca stretched out and collapsed directly onto the ground.
Flossie affirmed.
After giving Flossie a sideways look, Becca didn’t ask further and weakly gazed up at the ceiling.
After a moment, Flossie turned her head, her voice low, "Can you still hold on?"
Becca hummed vaguely and lifted her arm to shield her eyes.
Watching her, Flossie’s eyes flickered, her tone unusually gentle, "Even the ones better than you have left."
"I know," Becca responded softly.
Of course, she knew.
She had initially been at the back of the pack, enduring only by gritting her teeth until now.
Jocelyn’s performance was not outstanding, but she ensured that she passed every test, while Flossie had improved leaps and bounds recently, surpassing both her and Jocelyn, and was now on par with Belinda.
As for her...
Those worse than her had almost all been eliminated, and those better than her were gradually being weeded out as well.
She was making progress, barely able to keep up, but not as much as the others.
Now, her results were probably the worst.
It wasn’t immediate elimination, but if she slacked off even slightly, she would definitely be the first to be eliminated.
Flossie meant for her to give up.
She didn’t feel disappointed, not because of Flossie’s distrust, because she wasn’t sure when she herself would leave.
Flossie just wanted her to suffer less.
"I don’t want to go," Becca breathed deeply, sitting up from the ground and staring directly at Flossie.
Her eyes were big and bright, the pupils a deep black, but they held an unexpected determination.
"For what reason?" Flossie’s gaze shifted slightly, her expression serious.
"For myself," Becca tilted her head, thought carefully, then continued, "It really is for myself. There might have been a time when it was for his sake, but not now, I truly am not doing it for him anymore."
After a pause, Becca looked up, her tone much lighter, "It’s just that, I came here to be a soldier, not to work in the cooking class. It wasn’t easy for me to get out of there. Um, although it wasn’t bad and the living conditions were good, I don’t want to go back. Flossie, I don’t belong there."
