"I don’t want to think about it for now."
Flossie Wright casually replied.
With a slight lift of his eyebrows, Glenn Hutchinson walked straight towards her, stopping just a step away, his mouth curving into a faint smile, "Are you over it?"
"It’s gone." Without any objection, Flossie continued.
She had been angry before, but now there was nothing wrong.
To vent anger by hurting herself was her least favorite act, yet after being foolish enough to do it once, it was difficult to repeat a second time.
With such a cool and indifferent demeanor, even the slight hint of anger from before had completely vanished; within mere minutes, Flossie had regained her composure, leaving him utterly at a loss.
Glenn Hutchinson took another step forward.
Flossie looked up at him calmly, her eyes showing not a trace of stirring emotion.
"Next time you’re upset, come find me," he spoke lowly, his voice somewhat hoarse, yet it tugged at a certain heartstring when it reached her ears.
Cocking her head slightly, Flossie’s eyes lifted with a touch of indifference in her smile, as if she truly didn’t care.
"I’ll remember what you said," standing up straight, Flossie raised her hand, placing it on his wet shoulder, her lips turning up into a smile, "my future captain."
Having said that, she gently removed her hand and walked past him, making her way forward.
Glenn Hutchinson’s eyebrows twitched slightly.
Standing silently in place, after a moment, he turned his body to look up, and in that instant caught a glimpse of the fluttering corner of the garment jumping onto the bed.
In just a blink, Flossie had taken off her jacket and lay down on the bed with the spread-out blanket.
Glenn Hutchinson watched the person who had rolled up in the blanket.
Eventually, he moved his feet and approached her desk.
One by one, he tidied up the items she had scattered about carelessly.
The computer that was rarely shut down, various notebooks, books left open without being closed, several pens of different colors, and even cups filled with hot water or sugar water.
After marking those notebooks and books, Glenn Hutchinson neatly sorted them all out.
Of the entire dormitory, Flossie’s desk was the most chaotic and most characteristic.
The process of tidying up took about five minutes or so. Glenn Hutchinson glanced at the broken cabinet door, shook his head helplessly, and then left the room.
The dormitory door was closed with great care.
Upon hearing the sound of the room door closing, Flossie, who had been staring at the wall the whole time with her eyes open, finally closed them.
Feeling somewhat feverish and truly exhausted, Flossie fell asleep quickly.
When she woke up, it was already past nine o’clock.
There was one light on in the dormitory, casting a slightly dim glow inside.
Flossie squinted and sat up from the bed.
Just as she fully opened her eyes, Flossie heard a cold inquiring voice.
After a pause, Flossie rubbed her forehead, then looked towards the walkway on the right and saw Belinda Nichols getting up from her chair.
Surveying the entire dormitory.
The other two were also in the dorm.
Steamed Buns was munching on a steamed bun, writing diligently in her journal by the light of the desk lamp.
Furthermore, the sound of water spraying could be heard – Mariana Buck must be showering.
After getting a clear view of the situation, Flossie nodded her head, then jumped down from her bed.
Picking up two items from the desk, Belinda Nichols came over to her and handed them to her.
Flossie glanced at them.
A hot water bottle and a serving of porridge.
As she took them, she could definitely feel the warmth of both.
