Chapter 2011: Irresistible Temptation of Beauty

The dinner was tense and full of conflict.
Daisy Deacon and Glenn Hutchinson had several more "arguments" afterwards, and with every exchange, the atmosphere at the table grew heavier. Finally, Flossie Wright used "planning for tomorrow’s mission" as an excuse to join Belinda Nichols and the others.
"What happened?"
Noticing the chill in Flossie Wright’s gaze, Rowdy Brightwill was the first to ask.
The three of them were sitting quite well together earlier, weren’t they?
"Nothing," Flossie Wright casually avoided the topic, then turned to the three of them and said, "Let’s discuss tomorrow’s mission."
"Alright." Rowdy Brightwill nodded, not probing further.
Meanwhile, Sandy Cruz and Belinda Nichols also put down their chopsticks in unison, waiting for Flossie Wright’s instructions.
Seeing this, Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow, "Let’s talk while we eat."

The mission wasn’t particularly important, and Flossie Wright wasn’t too concerned. She originally planned to discuss it right before it started, but now given the circumstances, she would make use of the opportunity to clarify things with them, solving a troublesome matter along the way.
The three exchanged glances, then picked up their chopsticks again.
Flossie Wright picked up a chicken leg for Belinda Nichols, then explained the mission to the three of them.
They had no action codenames; their task was to gather information, and ideally, they wouldn’t even need to engage.
Tomorrow at four in the afternoon, a nearby stationed military unit would be recruiting mercenaries. The specific reason was unclear, but it was likely to deal with their peacekeeping operations. Flossie Wright had caught wind of it and planned to gather intel.
However, gathering intel naturally didn’t require too many people.
The few of them would suffice.
Moreover, Ice would also be joining. If things went awry, at the very least, they wouldn’t be left isolated without support.
"He’s also involved?"
Hearing about Ice, even Belinda Nichols’ icy expression showed a rare reaction.
Flossie Wright looked at her, "Does that bother you?"
Belinda Nichols replied in a cold tone.
Flossie Wright withdrew her gaze and glanced up to meet Rowdy Brightwill and Sandy Cruz’s curious eyes. Unruffled, she picked up a green bean and raised an eyebrow with a smile, "Go on."
The two wisely chose not to ask any questions.
"If anything happens, I’ll pair up with Sandy Cruz; Belinda Nichols will team with Rowdy Brightwill," Flossie Wright concluded, planning their fallback, "We’ll regroup at a fork in the road two kilometers from the site, and I’ll show you the specific map tomorrow."
Having said that, Flossie Wright placed her chopsticks down, then stood up with her plate.
"I’m leaving first."
"Oh." Rowdy Brightwill responded reluctantly.
"Alright." Sandy Cruz simply nodded.
As for Belinda Nichols, after glancing at Flossie Wright, she looked at the two waiting by the door, then quickly withdrew her gaze.
The only reason Flossie Wright ate so quickly was that Glenn Hutchinson and Daisy Deacon had finished and were waiting for her by the door.
If Daisy Deacon weren’t there, Flossie Wright would definitely leave Glenn Hutchinson behind, but now, she had no choice but to go over.
"Had a good chat?"
Approaching, Flossie Wright squinted her eyes, examining the two.
"Very good." Daisy Deacon nodded with a cheerful smile.
"Not bad." Glenn Hutchinson replied enigmatically.
Flossie Wright’s expression suddenly turned strange.
Really hoping—
It was really good, really not bad.
"You can leave now." Flossie Wright waved the hat in her hand as she frankly told Glenn Hutchinson, "I have something to discuss with her."
