When Flossie Wright went back, Glenn Hutchinson was still waiting for her.
She had been running on the track for hours, occasionally doing some light exercises, but she was still quite exhausted.
Meanwhile, Glenn Hutchinson had already prepared her toiletries and a change of clothes.
Flossie picked up the clothes and went straight into the bathroom.
Although the weather was very cold, Flossie had just exercised and was steaming all over. She initially intended to take a hot shower, but Glenn Hutchinson wandered outside the door and told her not to save this little bit of hot water for the country, so after a bit of hesitation, Flossie used the hot water for her shower.
"Callie Stewart and Luna Vaughan, were they in the same rookie squad?"
After showering and coming out, Flossie asked Glenn Hutchinson while towel-drying her hair.
Although she had read everyone’s files, she wasn’t intimately familiar with each trainee’s history; knowing even that far back would be quite perverse.
"Yeah." Glenn Hutchinson plugged in the hairdryer, then brought out a chair, motioning for Flossie to sit down.
Flossie was already used to this. She pulled the towel down and then sat over there.
The noise of the hairdryer was quite loud, and Flossie let Glenn Hutchinson dry her hair without saying anything until her hair was almost dry. After he turned off the hairdryer, Flossie raised an eyebrow and casually ran her hand through her short hair.
"Speak, what’s your plan?"
Sitting with legs crossed, Flossie leaned against the chair back and looked up at Glenn Hutchinson.
"What plan?" Glenn Hutchinson pretended not to understand.
"The wedding, meeting the parents."
Flossie said casually, raising an eyebrow inadvertently.
At twenty-three, Flossie never thought she would one day get married, face family and elders, but at this twenty-three, when Glenn Hutchinson handed her the marriage registration form, Flossie began to slowly accept this fact.
However, she had wandered for quite a few years, and after staying with the Forces, she rarely interacted with the Wright Family people. The Forces only had relationships of soldiers and superiors; she’d never seriously thought about how to deal with so-called "family."
She remembered when a few neighbors gossiped daily about trivial matters not within Flossie’s acceptance range.
Every minute throwing a cold face.
In any case, Glenn Hutchinson should give her a heads up about it.
Glenn Hutchinson smirked leisurely and said, "Once their first phase of training is over, we’ll go back."
He knew she didn’t care about this. If possible, Flossie would rather stay in the Forces all the time. In fact, Glenn Hutchinson was quite surprised that Flossie brought it up herself.
"Hmm?" Flossie was slightly puzzled.
"Coincidentally it’s New Year’s, take a week off," Glenn Hutchinson explained, "Visit family, meet relatives, hold a wedding."
"Does there have to be a wedding?" Flossie asked.
"You don’t like it?"
"It’s quite tacky." Flossie frowned slightly.
In her mind, just getting the certificate was about it. During a Slaughter, gathering a few people together for a meal would have been celebration enough.
She had no understanding of a formal wedding, and certainly didn’t want to experience it.
"I’ll discuss it with the family." Glenn Hutchinson put the word indulgence on his forehead.
"No need," Flossie said calmly, "Whatever they want."
Hutchinson Family only had Glenn Hutchinson to carry on the family line...
How could they not be allowed to make a fuss?
