"I’m asking you, is that ’the same reason’ related to Erina Taylor?"
Word by word, Glenn Hutchinson’s voice was heavy, each one falling into her ears without exception.
Standing still, Flossie Wright was not at all flustered. There was only calmness left between her brows.
"What Erina Taylor?"
Flossie Wright asked back, her expression unchanged, her tone indifferent.
She knew very well what she had said yesterday.
And she had also realized that Glenn Hutchinson was doubting her identity.
Her soul had been reborn, and had it not been her own experience, she probably would not have believed it herself. She was not at all worried that others would doubt her identity or even speculate about her identity change because such a phenomenon, inexplicable by even esoteric knowledge, was not something she feared.
If someone began to suspect, the situation would become very different.
It would be easy to find the differences between her and the former Flossie Wright.
People can change, but their nature is hard to alter. Even with transformations, habits and behaviors remain constant, not to mention thought patterns.

If Glenn Hutchinson was suspecting...
It was no trifling matter.
He had too many ways to test her.
Fortunately, she had not been active in Eastlandia in her previous life, and Glenn Hutchinson did not have the means to thoroughly investigate Erina Taylor’s information.
In short, as long as she denied everything, Glenn Hutchinson would not be able to do anything to her without sufficient evidence.
"You don’t know her?" He studied her carefully before asking.
"I don’t know her."
Flossie Wright answered promptly.
Glenn Hutchinson chuckled and leisurely said, "She is very close to your friend, Perry Reed."
"Oh?" Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow.
"You didn’t know?"
"I didn’t know," Flossie Wright replied expressionlessly.
"Good," Glenn Hutchinson’s brows moved slightly as he fixed his gaze and said quietly, "Given Perry Reed’s identity, I have the right to inquire about the exact nature of your relationship with him."
At this point, Flossie Wright could not simply respond with a claim to privacy. After a moment of thought, she asked, "What would you like to know?"
"How did you two meet?"
"An accident," Flossie Wright said calmly, "right after graduating from high school, during a trip abroad."
Perry Reed hardly ever came to Eastlandia.
He only started visiting frequently after finding her, and to say they had met domestically was naturally impossible.
Fortunately, Flossie Wright had indeed taken a graduation trip abroad and had traveled around before returning home, which conveniently could have been the time she met Perry Reed.
Half-truth, half-falsehood.
Foreign affairs, even if Glenn Hutchinson were to investigate, would yield nothing definitive.
Naturally, without prying further, Glenn Hutchinson continued, "What is your relationship?"
Shrugging, Flossie Wright’s response seemed even more natural.
Pausing briefly, Flossie Wright curved her lips and said leisurely, "I believe he hasn’t committed any crimes domestically, and I didn’t know his identity before we became friends, so I haven’t done anything illegal. Moreover, I haven’t conspired with him in any criminal activities, so... that’s about it. Do you have any more questions?"
"Yes," Glenn Hutchinson nodded.
"Go ahead," Flossie Wright’s tone grew colder.
After a pause, Glenn Hutchinson smiled faintly, asking casually, "Why did you want to kill me?"
Flossie Wright’s eyebrows shot up in astonishment.
Now, Flossie Wright really wanted to kill him.
After a moment of stiffness, Flossie Wright raised her hand to touch her nose and said simply, "That question is too profound. You’ll have to figure it out yourself."
