"He was part of that mission."
Flossie Wright mentioned it casually, as if simply stating a fact.

And she didn’t seem to take it to heart.
As soon as she finished speaking, she shoved the cup into Perry Reed’s hand.
Gripping the cup tightly, Perry Reed’s face turned dark instantly, and he pulled Flossie Wright into his arms.
Flossie frowned.
Before she could speak, Perry Reed spoke first, "He knows?"
His enunciation was clear, but a trace of anger seemed to grind out from between his teeth.
Flossie stood still, unmoving.
"Did he know before you?" Perry Reed continued to ask.
"Yes." Flossie’s expression was indifferent.
Some matters, since they have been initiated, might as well be clarified with Perry Reed.
"So he hid it from you." Perry Reed spoke each word slowly, his voice cold to the extreme.
Flossie squinted her eyes slightly, her brows furrowing unconsciously.
She did not respond.
However, the conclusion was clear.
Perry Reed released her.
Flossie seized his collar.
"I will handle this matter." Flossie’s brows furrowed, her words resolute.
"You handle it?!" Perry Reed snarled, his tone filled with fury, questioning word by word, "Your solution is to stay here cowardly, letting him roam free?!"
"Even if you kill him, what’s the use? Can it change anything?" Flossie kept her brows tightly locked, her tone surprisingly calm, "Perry Reed, you cannot act against him."
By the end, Flossie’s tone carried a touch of firmness.
Whether it’s Glenn Hutchinson or Eastlandia, Perry Reed cannot act against them.
Flossie now is no longer the reckless Erina Taylor she once was, but a soldier belonging to Eastlandia’s army.
Setting aside her conflict with Glenn Hutchinson, on another level, Glenn is her superior, and at the very least, up till now, Glenn is still her superior, and the others—
are her comrades!
No matter if they’re part of Aaron Doom’s or they’ve met face to face, as long as they wear that military uniform, they are her comrades.
In two years, this concept has been deeply ingrained.
Flossie has no reason to be an enemy of this group.
Because she is one of them.
She has stated that this is a personal enmity between her and Glenn Hutchinson, and such enmity should not involve anyone else.
"What if I say no?" Perry Reed clenched his brows tightly.
Has this woman not learned enough hard lessons yet?!
A simple Forces unit, how much of her ideology has it changed?! How much has it made her sacrifice?!
Even her hatred from past lives can be discarded!
Military? Soldier?
Once, they were things they disdained!
And now, she is downright foolish!
"You know."
Fixing her gaze on Perry Reed, Flossie spoke slowly, then released his collar.
Perry Reed knew her temperament.
He also knew what consequences would occur if he acted.
Flossie knew as well that as long as she was there, Perry Reed wouldn’t do anything outrageous.
They understood each other too well.
Perry Reed’s brows furrowed tighter and tighter.
"I am going to see him now." Flossie’s expression was calm, "Before I return, I hope you stay here."
After finishing, without paying attention to Perry Reed’s expression, Flossie walked straight out of the tent.
