This made Flossie Wright seem quite unaware of the rules as she entered.
Rarely having Flossie Wright "act sensibly," Glenn Hutchinson couldn’t help but laugh.
"The procedure is cumbersome, a bit hard to endure." Glenn Hutchinson gave Flossie Wright a heads-up in advance.
Flossie Wright responded lazily.
No matter what, it wasn’t as hard to endure as being hospitalized and unable to move.
"And the Base?" Flossie Wright asked again.
"We’ll gather for a meal when we get back." Glenn Hutchinson said with a smile.
Flossie Wright decisively agreed to the suggestion of having a meal with familiar people.
It was already past midnight, and Flossie Wright and Glenn Hutchinson didn’t stay up talking all night. After all, there was training the next day, so they turned off the lights and went to bed.
The next day.
Flossie Wright didn’t get up until after the morning exercise ended.
This time, the training followed the same pattern as before. The training schedule was already posted downstairs in the dormitory, and trainees completed it independently. Those who didn’t finish training didn’t get to eat, and those who really couldn’t persevere could choose to quit.
And, as a female Instructor, Flossie Wright was allowed to skip supervising the morning exercises.
This was according to Glenn Hutchinson.
Flossie Wright rightfully accepted this "special treatment."
"Here you are."
Joshua Bailey finally saw Flossie Wright arrive at the cafeteria just as the ten-minute breakfast time was about to end, and he immediately squinted happily.
He even made a bet with someone about whether the newlyweds would stay entangled for a few days or focus on work.
Flossie Wright swung her whistle as she slowly walked up to him.
"How many minutes left?" Flossie Wright glanced toward the cafeteria.
After looking at his watch, Joshua Bailey replied, "Three minutes."
"What about Callie Stewart?"
Flossie Wright crossed her arms, her expression showing a slight change.
Following her gaze, Joshua Bailey immediately saw Callie Stewart sitting alone at a table near the door, with no one else around. Others were having a good time in groups, while she sat desolately by herself.
"Oh," after looking a few more times, Joshua Bailey understood, "She doesn’t get along with people. Starts fights at the drop of a hat, so probably no one wants to sit with her."
Flossie Wright nodded slightly, shrugging as she understood.
Callie Stewart looks down on others, unwilling to associate with them, while others isolated her. Such solitary behavior seemed normal.
Flossie Wright grinned, carried her whistle, and walked straight to the cafeteria door.
She stood at the door, taking a quick glance inside.
There were quite a few others isolated like Callie Stewart. Luna Vaughan was one, and Nancy Phillips was another. The three of them topped various subjects among the female soldiers, and while it logically made sense for them to group together, their vibes just didn’t match. They hadn’t been seen interacting much.
Previously, as a trainee, Flossie only paid attention to those she was close to and didn’t care about others’ situations. But now, as an Instructor, she realized that strong individuals being isolated wasn’t uncommon.
She didn’t know if her batch was an exception or the current batch was.
Iris Dukes ran up to Flossie Wright with two Steamed Buns in hand.
Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow at her.
"Haven’t had breakfast yet, right? These are for you."
Smiling, Iris Dukes naturally offered the Steamed Buns to Flossie Wright.
Glancing at the two Steamed Buns, Flossie Wright didn’t take them.
