She simply asked if Ice would like to join her for a trip.
Ice agreed almost without hesitation.
No other reason, Daisy had considered quite a few people, and after much thought, she concluded that Ice was the most suitable, so she contacted him.
After all, she thought, perhaps Ice also needed a break.
And now that Flossie Wright was completely safe, she and Ice could leave without worry.
But making a spur-of-the-moment decision, they hadn’t thought to plan a route in advance.
"You decide," Ice said calmly.
Daisy frowned as she contemplated.
"She always wanted to go to Antarctica..." Daisy said, pausing slightly, then raised an eyebrow at Ice, "Are you going?"
Ice replied in a steady tone.
Daisy continued driving.
As they passed through the town, Daisy’s cool yet penetrating voice suddenly came through, "Do you like her?"
Ice’s eyebrows moved slightly.
The wind was too strong, whistling past, drowning out the voices at their ears.
Vaguely, it seemed like some response was heard, but it wasn’t clear.
Daisy didn’t know what Ice had said, but in her heart, she had a pretty good guess.
It didn’t matter.
Whose life doesn’t leave a bit of regret?
Daisy smiled faintly, memories of Flossie Wright and Erina Taylor overlapping in her mind. She shook her head, and the two faces disappeared without a trace.
Glenn Hutchinson was almost constantly by Flossie Wright’s side.
However, the matter weighing on Flossie’s mind, he hadn’t mentioned, which resulted in Flossie not showing him any pleasant expressions.
It wasn’t intentional, she just couldn’t bring herself to be happy.
But even so, Glenn Hutchinson still hadn’t said a word to her about it.
For several days, Flossie was relatively well-behaved, not questioning Glenn about anything and obediently receiving her treatment, but the atmosphere in the ward was very oppressive.
Many times, Glenn Hutchinson even felt that Flossie might have already guessed something, perhaps already aware deep down but unwilling to acknowledge it, which was why she hadn’t questioned Glenn at all.
On the day the bandages were removed, while Glenn went to make breakfast for Flossie, someone came to visit.
"Knock. Knock. Knock."
The door of the ward was knocked three times.
Unable to move, Flossie raised her eyebrows slightly and said towards the door, "Come in."
The next moment, the door was pushed open.
Wearing hospital clothes, Rowdy Brightwill walked step by step from outside.
Flossie’s gaze naturally fell on him.
Rowdy had lost a lot of weight, he was already on the slim side before, but even after not seeing him for just half a month, Flossie could clearly notice that Rowdy’s level of thinness was quite apparent, even the previous baby fat had disappeared, making his features even more defined.
"Sorry for visiting so late." Rowdy showed a slight smile, his eyes curving gently, his expression warm and soft.
He walked to the bedside and placed the fruits he brought on the bed cabinet to the side.
Flossie examined him.
"It’s nothing," Rowdy tugged the corner of his mouth, his voice suddenly lowering, "I’m being discharged today."
"Hmm." Flossie responded softly, evidently feeling a bit off.
It wasn’t until she saw Rowdy that she suddenly realized that since she’d woken up, she hadn’t seen any other familiar faces.
