"Because she surprised you again." The reply came lightly, tinged with a hint of helplessness.
"She?" Surprised, Bard Walker soon realized, "Flossie Wright? What happened to her?"
"She is here with me."
On the other end of the call, Bard Walker’s incredulous voice came through.
Glenn Hutchinson maintained a stern face, his expression grave.
It wouldn’t be a problem if Flossie Wright had sneakily left during her break from the mission. They’ve just had an earthquake here, it is absolutely impossible for her to run blindly this way, especially with that person accompanying her.
So, what could be the reason?
Suppressing his confusion, Glenn Hutchinson listened to Bard Walker grumbling on the other end of the call.
