And, around this time, Perry Reed swaggered into her tent with a few side dishes and two bottles of alcohol.
Flossie Wright washed her face, feeling a bit more alert, and looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"I don’t drink."
Glancing at the two bottles on the table, Flossie slightly frowned.
She had no particular fondness for alcohol and easily got drunk, so her habit was to stay sober. Even at Anonymous’s celebration parties, she wouldn’t touch a drop, and nobody dared to force her.
"Considering that dark culinary creation you made for lunch," Perry leisurely threatened while filling her cup with alcohol, "I don’t think you have the right to object now."
Flossie’s lips twitched.
Upon reflection, she did feel a bit guilty.
Walking over, Flossie glanced at the bottle, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"What else?" Perry asked, as if it was obvious.
Flossie massaged her temple with a sense of resignation.
Besides, asking Perry to drink something like beer seemed quite unmanly to her.
Sitting down, Flossie picked up chopsticks, intent on having a bite to fill her stomach. But after tasting a few bites, she suddenly looked up and asked Perry, "Did you cook this?"
"Yeah," Perry replied.
Flossie said no more.
In a short while, Perry handed a glass of alcohol to Flossie.
Giving him a glance, Flossie didn’t hesitate, raising her glass to clink with his.
Perry toyed with the glass upon receiving Flossie’s gaze, curved his lips slightly, and downed the drink in one go.
Seeing this, Flossie furrowed her brows deeply.
"Not drinking?" Perry put down his glass and smiled with squinted eyes, raising an eyebrow at Flossie.

After a moment of silence, Flossie gritted her teeth and, resigning herself to accompany him, downed her glass of baijiu in one go.
No need to savor it, the high-proof alcohol burned its way down her throat, leaving a trail of heat.
Flossie knew her alcohol tolerance.
Just about—
One, glass, and she’s out.
But when Perry coerces you to drink, he doesn’t waste words; a few words and a glance suffices to have one gulping it down.
Flossie managed to hold on until after dinner, which was rare.
Perry’s face swayed before her, his voice gently drifting to her ears.
Flossie pressed her temple.
"What are you trying to ask?"
With one hand resting on the table and her forehead leaning on an elbow, Flossie pressed her other hand to her temple.
Her head was spinning.
Even with minimal effort, she could guess what Perry’s intention was by making her drink.
It was clear he aimed to extract the information he wanted from her.
Flossie understood this, but being willing to drink and having drunk to this extent implied her reluctance wasn’t that strong.
"What exactly happened between you and Glenn Hutchinson?"
Frowning, Perry stood beside Flossie, looking down at her, his words deliberate and clear.
Flossie’s hand pressing her temple paused.
Then, she let go, straightened up, and met Perry’s gaze head-on.
"You want to know?"
Her red lips lifted slightly, an indefinable expression flickering in Flossie’s eyes.
