"Flossie Wright, what are you doing here?!"
Bard Walker stood at the doorway, his gaze piercing as he stared at her.
The night was dim, and the courtyard was not lit. Only the light from the kitchen shone through, but it was largely blocked by Bard’s figure.
Knowing that Bard was displeased with her these days, Flossie thought for a moment and didn’t rush to get off the horse.
"Just strolling around."
While Flossie responded, she stood upright with her hands behind her back.
"Oh, strolling around here?" Bard scoffed coldly as he walked down from the doorway, his solemn gaze sizing her up before he suddenly shouted angrily, "What’s that behind you? Take it out!"

Flossie looked troubled.
"Take it out!"
Bard’s eyes were glaring as he barked impatiently.
She complied obediently.
Soon, Flossie took out what was behind her hands.
Two bags, several plastic containers, with some skewers peeking out — from afar, Bard smelled the scent of barbecue.
"Brought in from outside?"
Bard’s face fell.
Thinking of her going out, his mood soured.
That heart-wrenching irritation, that suffocatingly frustrating feeling!
"Yes." Flossie nodded.
With a cold huff, the more Bard thought about it, the angrier he became. "Why didn’t you take it to the dormitory? Why bring it here?!"
Touching her nose, Flossie looked at him, her face earnest, "They said you were here."
Bard was slightly stunned.
What did that have to do with him?!
"Here, as an apology."
In the midst of his stupor, Flossie had already walked over to the stone table and placed the two bags of late-night snacks on it.
A twitch appeared at the corner of Bard’s mouth.
An apology?
Coming all the way here to find him?
To be honest, Bard deep down didn’t believe it.
The Flossie he knew would never bother to do such a thing.
She was unlike Austin Shepherd, who was smooth and adept at getting along with everyone and never caused any trouble for others.
On the contrary, she loved causing trouble, the bigger the commotion, the better, and others had no choice but to clean up the mess she left behind.
It was infuriating!
Bard’s expression shifted again and again as he scrutinized Flossie, trying to spot something unusual.
Unfortunately, Flossie seemed quite normal, a mix of sincerity, amusement, and calmness. He couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
"From outside?"
At that moment, Captain Lin walked out of the kitchen, frowning as he glanced at the pile of barbecued items.
Not having seen him for several days, Captain Lin still had a stern face, and even standing beside Bard, his presence was undiminished.
Looking at him, Flossie replied.
"Try to buy less in the future," Captain Lin said, frowning, but his tone was not severe, "It’s not good for your health."
Flossie nodded agreeably.
She had intended to cook in the cooking class initially but felt awkward using the kitchen since she was not a cook, and her culinary skills were not good anyway. Moreover, she didn’t want to trouble Captain Lin; he was busy in the kitchen every day, so it was better to give him less to worry about.
"It’s not good for your health, I won’t eat it," Bard said with a scowl, picking up where Captain Lin left off, sounding irritable.
Flossie: "..."
Good heavens, was he being tsundere now?
Meanwhile, Captain Lin looked at him and asked, "Weren’t you the one who didn’t have dinner?"
"Weren’t you making it for me?" Bard retorted.
"Not in the mood, not doing it anymore!"
Replied capriciously, Captain Lin stretched out his hand and began untying his white apron.
