He needed to continue recording data.
So, the young man didn’t see Glenn Hutchinson who walked out from the large tent and strolled towards Flossie Wright and Belinda Nichols.
"Flossie Wright."
As he approached, Glenn Hutchinson stared at Flossie Wright who was still setting up the tent, and called her in an unhurried manner.
Having already noticed him approaching, Flossie Wright furrowed her brow slightly and stood up straight.
Flossie Wright called out crisply.
Hearing the commotion, Belinda Nichols glanced at her but did not look at Glenn Hutchinson.
With her head down, she continued setting up the tent, as if completely unaware of Glenn Hutchinson’s presence.
"Once the tent is set up, come find me."
Glenn Hutchinson instructed clearly.
Frowning, Flossie Wright paused for a moment, then responded, "Yes!"
Thus, Glenn Hutchinson didn’t linger, turned around, and left.
He was there for less than two minutes.
So much so that many late-arriving trainees didn’t even notice his presence.
Watching his departing figure, Flossie Wright slightly frowned, a hint of doubt quietly surfacing in her eyes.
Outside of training, Flossie Wright could manage when Glenn Hutchinson sought her out. But during training, when Glenn Hutchinson sought her, she had no reason to refuse.
At such times, Flossie Wright especially did not want to see him.
"I’ll help you set it up."
As soon as Glenn Hutchinson was far enough away, Belinda Nichols suddenly said to Flossie Wright.
Looking at her, Flossie Wright declined.
After all, the tent was almost set up.
At this time, Rowdy Brightwill, with a tent in hand, ran over with a cheerful smile.
Flossie Wright glanced up at him.
Accompanying him was Sandy Cruz, who silently carried his tent.
"Why did you come so far?"
Rowdy Brightwill asked, puzzled.
Looking down, he noticed footprints leading to and from the large tent nearby. Though surprised, he didn’t directly ask what was going on.
Flossie Wright casually gave an excuse.
"Oh." Rowdy Brightwill nodded, smiling, and said, "We’ll camp with you, it’s good to have some company."
How they chose the spot was up to them, even if Cassie Ferguson picked the spot next to them, Flossie Wright had no objections.
Sandy Cruz gave them a couple of looks, then settled in a spot ahead of Flossie Wright to start setting up his tent.
Rowdy Brightwill wasn’t in a hurry, placing his tent to the right of Flossie Wright, then asked her, "Need any help?"
Throwing him a sideways glance, Flossie Wright directly refused.
"Um, alright then." Rowdy Brightwill didn’t persist and nodded, "If you need anything, just call me."
Flossie Wright responded coolly.
After handling Rowdy Brightwill, the four of them soon fell into silence.
Each focused on setting up their own tents.
Flossie Wright, experienced, quickly set up her tent, which stood starkly on the snowfield in no time.
By then, it was almost dark.
"Flossie, where are you going?"
Catching a glimpse of Flossie Wright’s departure, Rowdy Brightwill, still setting up his tent, glanced up and called out in time.
"Just wandering around."
Flossie Wright answered lazily.
After speaking, she headed straight towards the tent that Glenn Hutchinson had entered.
Rowdy Brightwill watched in astonishment.
Such a clear destination, but she called it wandering around?
