Outdoor survival training, they were given a day’s food, but they had to stay on a designated island for three days.
During these three days, they needed to find the indicated locations on the island’s map and record the signs hidden at these sites. There would also be hidden ambushes in the middle; if they were ’killed’, the outdoor survival training would immediately fail, which, of course, meant that their results would not be good.
The grouping for the survival training was announced on the second day. Five classes went to one island, led by their class leader, who supervised for cheating and administered first aid in emergencies.
However, the class leader for the second row, third class, who had left before the survival training started, was unable to find a temporary leader due to staffing issues, so they dumped them on the class leader of the neighboring class.
However, other people’s children were not as dear as their own. Plus, the second class’s performance in training in just one day was beyond imagination. Even Flossie Wright’s training was able to keep up with their progress. The class leader of the first class was somewhat disgruntled, so he convened a class meeting that night and had a stern talk with the ordinary folk. This resulted in the people of first class training with a frenzy the next day that bewildered the second class.
"Indeed, the motherless child is just like a weed." After the last day of training, just after the participants of the second class had returned to the dormitory, they seemed depressed. Someone lying on their bunk sighed, "I finally realized the goodness of Class Leader Drake Easton. Even though he’s like an underworld king, nobody dares to give us a hard time when he’s around!"
"Absolutely," Jocelyn Carrington rubbing her sore arm, nodded in agreement, "Now everyone thinks we don’t have any backing. Everyone is striving against us, even when we are eating, they are stealing the food from our class."
Suddenly, the other female soldiers who felt the same started nodding in agreement. Since Drake Easton left, people from other classes have been targeting them, mocking them when they see them lagging in training. When they were collectively punished by the class leader of the first class, others stood by and jeered at them. Even at the cafeteria when they were getting food, others were eyeing what they chose.
Their class under the leadership of Drake Easton was a special group. In terms of military skills, apart from Flossie, all of them were one of the top performers among the new recruits, which naturally attracted jealousy. When Drake Easton was around, they had to deal with gossip. But since he left, their adversaries were even more blatant.
"Anyway, it’s the last day, everyone bear with it." The class vice-leader, who usually didn’t like getting into trouble, seeing so many people complaining, she became a bit agitated and tried to calm their emotions, "Tomorrow is the outdoor survival training. We will try to endure it all, and don’t give them even a chance to laugh, won’t that settle our grievances?"
"I don’t know if the others in the class can endure it, but for some, they’ll definitely be laughed at," Jocelyn Carrington glanced at Flossie Wright with a deep meaning, "I hope they don’t get killed the moment they step on the island."
Her words quieted the dormitory instantly.
Flossie Wright hadn’t joined in their discussion and was preparing to take a bath. Hearing Jocelyn Carrington targeting her, her movement slightly paused. She turned her head and casually gave Jocelyn Carrington a glance.
"How, did I say something wrong?" Jocelyn Carrington hooked a sneer at the corner of her mouth, clearly provoking.
Lately, Flossie Wright’s military skills had improved impressively, especially after the shooting training session, Flossie Wright became a thorn in Jocelyn Carrington’s side. If there was a chance to pick a fight, she wouldn’t miss it.
"Well, how about I give you a chance?"
Flossie Wright lightly laughed, her slender, good-looking fingers gently stroked her chin, as if she had the outdoor survival training under her control.
