On the second day of the Chinese New Year, the streets were significantly more lively.
People were visiting relatives, hosting banquets, dating on the streets, and the entire street was bustling with a joyful and festive atmosphere.
When Flossie Wright and Becca Reyes left the shopping centre, it was already past one o’clock.

They didn’t buy many items, aside from what they got for Yvonne Watson, it was just some trivial knick-knacks. However, the shopping centre was crowded, making it difficult for them to shop normally.
"Walking around for hours is more tiring than our military standing drills."
As soon as they came to a less crowded area, Becca Reyes leaned down and massaged her calves.
Before joining the forces, she could spend a whole day shopping in high heels without any issue, but after spending several months in the Forces, even shopping in flat shoes felt exhausting.
"What should we eat?"
Flossie Wright looked around for nearby restaurants.
After breakfast, they had only focused on wading through the crowd and naturally missed their lunch.
"Hold on a sec; I’ll look it up on my phone."
Setting down her shopping bags, Becca Reyes responsibly took out her phone and began to search using an app.
Fortunately, Becca Reyes had not been in the Forces for long and had not abandoned her former lifestyle habits of relying on convenient tech tools like her smartphone when in unfamiliar surroundings.
Flossie Wright’s eyes shimmered subtly.
She had somewhat old-fashioned notions and didn’t much support relying on such conveniences in everyday life.
With regards to any lethal weapon, she would chase after the top-tier ones, like guns, but the one she felt most comfortable using was still the AK-47.
Of course, she merely preferred to rely on herself, so it wasn’t contradictory.
"Do you want to eat seafood?"
While scrolling on her phone screen, Becca Reyes thoughtfully asked.
Flossie Wright promptly refused.
Being a coastal city, seafood was never in short supply. They often caught their fill at the Forces, and with other soldiers also contributing, the cooking class always had more than enough seafood.
Becca Reyes nodded, "Let’s have local dishes then. There’s a restaurant nearby."
Flossie Wright agreed.
Even though they were not in their uniforms and could enjoy themselves more freely, they ended up choosing a very ordinary restaurant.
It didn’t boast luxurious decor or enthusiastic service.
Upon entering, Flossie Wright and Becca Reyes found an empty spot and sat down. Apathetically, the waiter took their order of claypot chicken, stir-fried shredded pork and bean curd in a white sauce, and claypot tofu. That completed their lunch order.
Normally at this time, there wouldn’t be many diners, but this restaurant had quite a few and their orders came out somewhat slowly.
While waiting, Becca Reyes began to chat on Whatsapp.
Being indifferent to mobile phones, Flossie Wright, propping up her chin, was drinking some boiled water the waiter brought.
"By the way, do you have Captain Hutchinson’s Whatsapp?"
During a lull in the chat, Becca Reyes suddenly looked up at Flossie Wright, her face full of curiosity.
Flossie Wright hesitated momentarily but didn’t answer her.
In fact, having not been back to the country for several years, she didn’t even know what Whatsapp was.
"You don’t have it?"
Becca Reyes didn’t sense anything unusual.
After all, Flossie Wright wasn’t some old fossil, and she even looked quite fashionable. Becca wouldn’t think of the possibility of Flossie not using such a common app.
"Mm-hmm." Flossie responded very casually.
"Here, let me show you a picture." Tossing her phone, Becca Reyes smiled and presented the screen to Flossie Wright.
