The bullet left the sniper rifle and in the blink of an eye, it entered the forehead of a pirate.
He, who had just been speaking excitedly, didn’t even have the time to react before his life was taken away.

Everything happened too fast.
The first thing to fall was the communicator in the pirate’s hand, followed immediately by his body stiffening up and collapsing lifelessly backward.
The pirates, previously engaged in animated conversation, saw their comrade fall flat on his back within the blink of an eye, and the bloody mark on his forehead bluntly told them what had just occurred.
There was no time for sorrow, they only had energy for anger!
They were always one step behind, as a group of battle-hardened frogmen had already sprung into action the instant the sniper fired. These sharpshooters took out their pre-targeted foes!
"Bang—Bang—Bang—"
The sound of gunfire was chaotic and unordered.
Initially, two pirates had planned to take hostages as per their plan, but they had already been marked by the frogmen. After just two steps, they were struck by rifle fire and after a few "bang, bang, bang," they fell to the ground, silent.
As for the other pirates, they instinctively raised their guns and shot at the frogmen. Some quick-witted ones attempted to use hostages as human shields, but the prepared frogmen charged forward, overwhelming them with fire and forcing them to retreat continuously, not daring to go near the three hostages!
In just over ten seconds, nearly half of the pirates were dead or wounded. The remaining few turned tail and fled into the dense forest.
Ella Pemberton charged ahead, the first to reach the clearing and untie the several hostages.
On the fishing boat were all grown men. Even if they were cowed when hijacked, they weren’t reduced to tears. Now seeing the navy coming to their rescue and realizing they were safe, they finally breathed a sigh of relief, though they were still shaken.
After glancing at the three fishermen, Ella Pemberton, holding her gun, swept her gaze over the other frogmen who had caught up with the pirates and immediately raised her voice, "Listen, do not act alone, groups pursue!"
All of them shouted with fervent energy.
They split up to chase down those who slipped through the net!
On the seldom-visited island with its overgrown vegetation, it was hard to move around. Coupled with the hot weather, the untrained pirates naturally could not match the speed of the frogmen. Two of them were not far into their flight before being captured alive!
Becca Reyes, focused on pursuing the target, didn’t know how far she’d run when she suddenly realized that Sandy Cruz and the veteran soldiers hadn’t caught up.
Where had they gone?
A flicker of doubt crossed her mind.
However, before she could recall, the pirate in front suddenly stopped.
Casting a casual glance back, the pirate noticed she was a woman and that only she was following behind. The rage and competitiveness in his eyes ignited at once as he pulled out the machete holstered on his waist and charged menacingly toward Becca Reyes.
The distance between them was already small.
By the time Becca Reyes realized what was happening, the pirate had closed the gap, raising the machete to strike at her head.
There was no time to shoot!
Cursing in her heart, Becca Reyes’s eyes turned fierce as she timed her dodge to evade the attack; she then quickly stepped back to take advantage of the opening as the pirate’s blow missed. She swiftly pulled out the bayonet from her waist.
Hand-to-hand combat ensued!
Meanwhile—
After having restrained a pirate, Flossie Wright knelt in front of him with a military knife and promptly yanked the foul sock from his mouth.
"Talk, how many more of you are lying in ambush?"
Speaking in Solama language Flossie Wright raised her eyebrow, her eyes filled with a chilling murderous intent.
