It seems a bit newer than before.
Growing more puzzled, Flossie Wright didn’t dwell on it any further and simply opened the notebook.
What caught her eye were lines of writing that differed from the ones in her memory.
Completely different.
Sharper, more composed, more rigid.
Strikingly so.
In surprise, Flossie Wright furrowed her brows, looking at the man in front of her with confusion, and asked, "Did you copy this all over again?"
Glenn Hutchinson looked at her somberly and instructed, "Copy it yourself in the future."
Flossie Wright was slightly shocked inside.
It meant that he admitted to copying it.
She was familiar with Sandy Cruz’s notes.
Concise and to the point.
But, having attended class for so long, even if his notes were few in number, the accumulated total was not a small amount.
To copy it all over again would take at least two to three hours.
Feeling somewhat annoyed inside, Flossie Wright wanted to scold him for being silly, but she couldn’t bring herself to say it.
Perhaps out of reluctance, or perhaps, something else.
After a moment, Flossie Wright asked softly, "What about his?"
Glenn Hutchinson replied succinctly.
Feeling inexplicably irritable, Flossie Wright didn’t want to talk any more with him and said it straightforwardly.
With hurried steps.
Glenn Hutchinson stood there, not holding her back any further.
Flossie Wright...
He had to give her some time.
Such things couldn’t be rushed, after all.
And in the Military Camp, he wasn’t worried about Perry Reed taking advantage of any vulnerabilities.
Military District Hospital.
After venting to Neal Thompson for a while, Mia Lawson managed to stop the nosebleed and walked back with heavy steps.
But outside the hospital, she felt something was off, pairs of eyes silently watching her, sharp as needles, piercing into her.
She felt inexplicably guilty.
Perhaps realizing something, Mia Lawson lowered her head and quickened her pace through the hospital’s entrance.
However, what she hadn’t expected was that with more people she encountered, the more attention she received; nearly every doctor and nurse she ran into gave her an extra look with strange gazes.
Contempt, disdain, disgust, mockery, ridicule, schadenfreude...
A mix of looks and emotions.
All of them made her feel utterly embarrassed.
Mia Lawson distressingly realized that perhaps the entire hospital knew about what she did yesterday afternoon...
How could this be?!
Doesn’t the hospital director care about this kind of scandal?!
Mia Lawson took a deep breath.
From the door to the second floor restroom, the mere few minutes of walking became the longest and most excruciating journey she had ever experienced.
The odd glances, low whispers, and faintly mocking words made her feel as if she was being set ablaze with anger and shame intertwining painfully at the bottom of her heart, making it extremely difficult for her to breathe.
Holding her phone, tears shimmered in Mia Lawson’s eyes as she hesitated on whether to make a call to Neal Thompson.
But then—
Before she could press the call button, she heard a faint conversation outside.
"Hey, did you hear?"
"That Mia Lawson, uh, the one who claims she’s the prettiest in the entire hospital..." The first voice spoke with a tone full of contempt.
"Oh, that narcissistic woman... What about her?"
"Pff, did you know? She’s been at the Frogman Forces recently, and I heard, like, she went crazy yesterday afternoon. She tampered with a selection trainee’s climbing ropes, nearly killed the guy!"
