Calvin Ramos wrapped his arms around her, tilting his head downward to look at her.
"I’m ready."
She closed her eyes, stretched on her toes, and kissed him.
His lips were warm, no longer cold and disgusting as they were that night.
She suddenly believed him.
Maybe he genuinely couldn’t remember.
She didn’t chat with Austin Shepherd for long, but when Flossie Wright dragged her tired body down the mountain, she ran into Rowdy Brightwill who had been waiting there for a while.
He held a thermal container in his hand, still hot. He probably swindled it from the cooking class.
Eating late-night snacks had delayed her a bit.
By the time Flossie got back to the dormitory, most of the dormitory lights were off, leaving both buildings in quietness.
She checked the time.
Raising her cap, Flossie Wright headed straight to the women’s dormitory; she probably wouldn’t get much sleep tonight either.
Just as she reached the staircase, she saw Becca Reyes sitting on the stone steps.
Becca Reyes lowered her eyes slightly and softly called her name.
With furrowed brows, Flossie walked up and sat down next to her.
The staircase was equipped with sensor light control; the sporadic flashing suddenly darkened the whole staircase.
"Just get to the point."
Her tone was flat, showing no doubt or any other emotion.
"Will you die if you talk to me nicely?" Becca Reyes raised her eyebrows.
Staring straight ahead, Flossie uttered in a calm tone.
She wouldn’t die, but she was really tired.
"I might die of frustration because of you." Becca Reyes grumbled, sighed languidly with her hands supporting her chin, "I have something to discuss with you."
Flossie acted as if she expected this.
"Why don’t you ask me what it is?"
Becca Reyes was staring at her stubbornly, unrelenting.
Too lazy to spare her a glance, Flossie silently gazed at the grassland beneath the dormitories.
"Alright, I give up," said a helpless Becca. She then moved a little closer to Flossie and said, "Well, about Calvin Ramos..."
"He, he confessed his feelings to me."
Flossie replied in a listless tone.
Surprised, Becca glimpsed at her, her gaze filled with probing and confusion. In the darkness, she could faintly see Flossie’s finely chiseled face showing no reaction at all.
As if, she didn’t care at all.
Becca suddenly felt a bit disappointed.
"Are you done?"
Tilting her head, Flossie asked her.
"...Yes," Becca hesitated to nod.
"Did you accept?" Flossie continued to ask.
Flossie’s eyebrows knitted together and with a sudden move, she abruptly stood up from the stone steps.
Becca was startled by her unexpected action.
With her gaze downcast, Flossie said with a heavier tone, "You’re such an idiot!"
Having said that, she started to walk upstairs.
"Hey——"
Becca was caught off guard, quickly stood up, grabbed Flossie’s wrist, and then stood in front of her.
"I came to ask for your advice."
Standing in front of Flossie, Becca stared at her seriously, her tone imbued with a subtle plea.
When it came to dealing with Calvin Ramos, she always felt at a loss, devoid of any direction.
Accepting...
Was without any question.
"I don’t have advice."
Flossie looked at her coldly, her response was firm and without hesitation.
This matter was between them, she had no interest in getting involved.
