"Bro, sorry about this." The man standing behind him uttered in a low voice into his ear, before tossing him under a nearby tree to sit.
"I, I think I’m dying..."
The sniper struggled to speak, looking at the unwarrantedly thin and dark man who’d suddenly attacked him. He was clad in green camouflage, the kind used by the Army. He was blinking confusingly, as if he had no clue about what just transpired.
Logically, aside from the female warriors surviving in the wild, there should only be their platoon of male warriors on the island. But they were all Marines, and their uniforms bore the oceanic camouflage. The appearance of this man, symbolizing the army, was perplexing to him.
"I know you’re dying." The dark man squatted down in front of him, with a kind smile on his face. "But first, we have some questions for you."
The sniper blinked in confusion.
Just as he was about to ask, he froze, suddenly mute. Looking behind the dark soldier, his eyes widened in shock.
A man clad in camouflage came into view against the light with a steady and resolute stride. His authoritative, wild aura, elegantly restrained yet hinting at the lurking danger of a cheetah, was so overwhelming that it seemingly stopped the sniper’s heart.
This man was irresistibly handsome, even from a far distance.
Every soldier had courage in their blood, none willing to admit defeat easily. But they admired real strength, and for them, being suppressed by power was the most convincing.
Some people exuded such an aura that compelled others to willingly submit.
Undoubtedly, at the moment the sniper saw this man, his eyes were filled with shock and admiration, his emotions leaping.
Seeing his reaction, Willie Ash, seated before him, realized that all his efforts until now were in vain. All the strenuous effort he’d put up was nothing compared to the effortless charm of his Captain.
Modern soldiers...so superficial!
Willie Ash shook his head, lamenting the state of things.
"What’s your mission?" Glenn Hutchinson, the figure of admiration, asked the mesmerized sniper casually, as if on a leisure stroll.
Gazing at Glenn in a stupor, the sniper responded without any hesitation to Glenn’s query, "The new recruits are undergoing survival training in the wild. We are here to ambush them. We have around fifty in our recruit unit, and we sent ten men for the mission."
Willie Ash continued to shake his head at the side, watching the utterly bewitched sniper. Not just answering the question completely but also revealing all the inside details. It’s like he wished to reveal all his secrets.
"You, who are you?" The sniper curiously looked at Glenn, completely forgetting about the lean man that had captured him a few moments ago.
"Secret mission." Glenn responded unaffectedly.
"Oh... oh!"
The sniper nodded, enlightened, and very considerately did not ask any further.
On the other hand, Willie Ash was slightly puzzled, wondering what exactly the sniper had figured out.
After a while, the sniper asked enthusiastically, "So, what can I do to help?"
Willie Ash patted his shoulder, and after freeing his hands, he advised earnestly, "Gather your stuff and go back."
However, before he even finished speaking, he was met with the sniper’s resentful gaze.
Willie’s mouth twitched at the corners. What is this... What does he mean by this? It’s like I am forcibly breaking up his relationship with his wife! Does fangirling go to this extent?!
Finally, the sniper left, looking back every three steps, his figure filled with reluctance. Willie, watching this scene, furiously glared at Glenn, "Captain, can’t you show some mercy? Be careful, you might turn all these good young men gay!"
Without warning, Glenn shot him a glance. Immediately, Willie Ash, who was still upset, silenced instantly.
