Their atmosphere is too cold.
No one has the courage to approach.
Flossie Wright was in the Rescue Room for as long as the five of them waited outside.
No one knows how long these minutes and seconds of waiting felt to them.
Except for Glenn Hutchinson, Flossie’s closest relationship is with Sandy Cruz. Yet, Jude Marsh, Dallion Collins, and Joshua Bailey didn’t relax even a bit because of this. Their expressions were heavy and severe, their faces tense, and none of them moved even half a step from the door.
They all hope that none of their comrades sacrifice their lives.
It stands to reason that seeing Flossie’s injuries, none of them could leave with peace of mind; it’s human nature.
In the dead of night, on a desolate road in West Hare, an armored vehicle slowly drove by.
Daisy Deacon sat inside the vehicle, holding a military canteen, shaking it leisurely, and then took a sip.
The window was open, and although it was December, the weather wasn’t that cold. A cool breeze blew in through the window, lifting her long hair behind her in a chaotic dance, but she wasn’t bothered, her expression even more spirited.
She lowered her head, and in the light inside the vehicle, saw the bloodstains on her clothes.
Slightly dazed, she thought carefully for a moment before suddenly remembering. It had smeared on her from Flossie Wright.
Since leaving the red Base, six hours had passed, yet Daisy felt like it had been a long time. Everything that happened felt like events from long ago.
She tilted her head and saw Perry Reed glancing her way, but his gaze was not on her face; instead, it swept over the bloodstains on her clothes.
"From her?"
Meeting his gaze, Perry Reed raised his eyebrows slightly, his voice as chill as the wind.
"Yeah." Daisy replied nonchalantly, shaking the canteen in her hand.
"Was she badly hurt?" Perry Reed squinted.
In the afternoon’s battle, Perry Reed hadn’t seen Flossie Wright, so he naturally didn’t know how severe her injuries were.
"She won’t die."
Daisy took a sip of water, her voice indifferent.
Perry Reed frowned but didn’t speak further.
Daisy smiled a little, soon retracting her gaze.
Won’t die?
She believes Flossie Wright will not die.
She once mourned for Erina Taylor, so she would never mourn for another Flossie Wright.
If someone is rescued yet dies in the hospital, then Flossie’s life would have been too wretched.
"Speaking of which," Daisy lazily raised her eyes as if she had thought of something, smiling and asking Perry Reed, "Did you really let her go?"
"What do you think?" Perry Reed looked out the window, speaking lightly.
"As long as she likes it." Daisy replied with a smile.
Perry Reed glanced at her, his words carrying deeper meaning, "I’m trying to think like that."
Daisy shook her head slightly.
With his temperament, it’s unlikely that he can truly let someone go.
However, they all understood Erina Taylor’s temperament, and having interacted with Flossie Wright, her temperament is genuinely unchanged. That person only chooses what they want; if Perry Reed continues to entangle, he’ll only cause trouble for her.
Naturally, they all liked Erina Taylor and Flossie Wright. From any perspective, they didn’t want to trouble her.
After all—
At the very least, their identities were different.
"Want a drink," After a moment, Daisy raised her hand, offering the canteen to Perry Reed, "It’s mixed with some alcohol."
