Flossie Wright turned a deaf ear, completely isolating their curses as she waited until the figures of the Blue Team got closer; then she calmly fired a shot.
One person was killed halfway there.
Her location had been exposed; the closer the enemy approached, the greater the likelihood that she would be captured.
In terms of skills, she had more than enough to take out a few of the Red Team’s soldiers, but she had seen the speed and agility of the Blue Team, knowing a victory wouldn’t come easily.
In the distance—
Lying on the beach, Willie Ash, who’d been "killed," stared up at the sky with wide eyes while connecting with his Captain’s communication.
"Captain, I’m dead," Willie Ash said, nearly in a sobbing tone.
"Dead and still talking?"
From the other end, there was the indifferent voice of Glenn Hutchinson.
Grabbing a handful of sand, Willie sat up from the beach, unrelentingly persistent, "Don’t you want to know who killed me?"
"Do I need to guess?"
Glenn Hutchinson asked leisurely in return.
In an instant, Willie heard the sound of his heart breaking.
Was the Captain really so heartless?!
"Captain, we can’t be like this..."
Willie Ash spoke gloomily, but before he could finish, he realized Glenn Hutchinson had ended the call.
Blinking, Willie Ash was dumbfounded.
Looking up again at the heated battle on the island, with gunshots ringing in his ears, his heart was filled with waves of sadness and worry.
Nobody forced him to be the sacrificial piece; he only hated his own bad luck for drawing the lot to be that piece and left with nothing to do but die with resentment and perish in depression to the underworld.
Willie Ash almost wanted to cry.
This damned hand!
However, no matter how much he resented, what was done was done; he was doomed to be eliminated from this exercise without firing a single shot.
Filled with depression, Willie Ash stood up, looking at the boundless sea with a face full of world-weariness, his heart brimming with endless melancholy and sorrow.
But, hearing footsteps, he turned and saw a familiar figure, his somber aura instantly swept away, replaced with a bright, schadenfreude-filled smile as he waved toward the approaching person.
"Yo, what a coincidence, you also made such a tragic sacrifice!"
Willie Ash smiled innocently, but his words were exceptionally irritating.
The one coming towards him was, of course, the Blue Team member who had just been sniped by Flossie Wright.
Having been meticulously targeted by Flossie without any preparation and taken out, he now had a face ashen with rage. Seeing Willie’s grinning face, his expression turned even darker, and he swept a chilly, sinister gaze over.
"Heh heh..."
With a forced laugh, seeing him approach, Willie Ash immediately chickened out.
"What, you’re quite happy that your brother Joshua died?"
Walking over, Joshua Bailey hooked an arm around his neck and pulled back forcefully, speaking in a strangely sarcastic tone.
"No, not at all..."

Willie Ash grinned and quickly elbowed towards Joshua’s chest.
Joshua Bailey raised a hand to block his elbow, a hint of amusement in his eyes, though it was particularly eerie and frightening.
"Brother Joshua, I realize my mistake."
Feeling the grip on his neck tightening and unable to strike back, Willie Ash immediately admitted his mistake with newfound self-awareness.
Joshua Bailey pulled his head back, smiled, and said, "Realized your mistake?"
"The young miss the greatness of Mount Madison, I shouldn’t have mocked you..." Willie Ash said slickly.
So, Joshua Bailey let go of him.
