"Come, come here, I want to discuss something."
Becca Reyes gestured to the kitchen worker who was gaping at her side, showing a seemingly kind smile on her face. Yet, in the eyes of the kitchen worker, that smile was clearly hiding a dagger.
Cautiously eyeing Becca Reyes a few times, the kitchen worker carefully shuffled a few steps in her direction.
Becca Reyes rested her elbow on his shoulder, her warm smile hinting at a menacing glare, "What did you just overhear?"
"I didn’t hear anything."
The kitchen worker was quick-witted, shaking his head vigorously, indicating that he would absolutely not spill the beans.
However, this only made the suspicion in his heart grow stronger.
Could it be that there was something between Captain Hutchinson and Becca Reyes... is that why she wanted to "silence him"?
"Hey, how can you say you didn’t hear anything?" Patting his chest, Becca Reyes smirked, "Didn’t Flossie just mention that Captain Hutchinson personally brought her so many things?"
"Er..." The kitchen worker understood immediately, "Yes, yes, yes, I remember now!"
"As for this box, I’ll take it back to the dorm for Flossie."
Satisfied, Becca Reyes gave him a meaningful glance, then picked up the box from the stone table effortlessly and started heading towards the dormitory.
Thus, the kitchen worker who had just "collected intelligence" on her was once again left gaping in shock.
These trained people, they are all freaks, two female soldiers are stronger than a male kitchen worker.
The box indeed was heavy, but the distance from the kitchen to the dormitory was not far, so it was not a hassle for Becca Reyes to carry it.
However, she had barely reached the entrance when she heard Yvonne Watson and Neal Thompson arguing.
"You’re just an assistant squad leader, how dare you order me around?!"
Without even pushing the door open, Yvonne Watson’s agitated voice came from inside.
Becca Reyes instinctively paused, noticing out of the corner of her eye a figure standing in the corner, and without thinking headed with the box in that direction.
The figure standing there was none other than Flossie Wright, casually standing under the shadow of the tree. Given the dim light and poor visibility, one would not notice her unless they looked carefully.
"What’s going on?"
Stopping in front of Flossie Wright, Becca Reyes asked curiously.
Usually, Yvonne Watson was so oppressed by Neal Thompson, always putting up with it, why would she suddenly explode?
Before Flossie could even reply, Neal Thompson’s aggressive voice came from inside —
"Yvonne Watson, watch your words! When did I boss you around, the tasks I’ve assigned to you are all part of your duties!"
"What a nice way to put it, so buying groceries and helping you carry things are also part of my duties?! When I was criticized by Squad Leader Lin for being late, where were you?! You were joining in on the criticism! You pull me into doing everything, and if it goes well it’s your merit. If it doesn’t, you criticize me in front of everyone, blaming every fault on me! Neal Thompson, I’ve had enough!"
Yvonne Watson’s sobbing voice was heart-wrenching.
Frowning, Becca Reyes looked at Flossie Wright in confusion.
Flossie Wright glanced at the lit-up dormitory, then spoke quietly, "Yvonne Watson confessed her feelings to Austin Shepherd, and was rejected."
"After Neal Thompson found out, she started to belittle Yvonne."
With slightly lowered eyelids, Flossie Wright casually narrated.
Becca Reyes immediately understood.
