Witnessing such a scene from the arms of the man holding her, Flossie Wright couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, her suspicion of his identity deepened.
"What’s wrong with her?"
Rowdy Brightwill was disinterested, putting his hands in his pockets as if he was just casually asking.
"One of your soldiers?" Although the man included Rowdy in his question, he directed his words at Drake Easton. His every action showed complete disregard for Rowdy.
Being ignored once again, Rowdy Brightwill would have to be a fool to believe the man had forgotten him. He gritted his teeth harshly, rage smoldering in his eyes without reason.
"Yes." Drake Easton looked at Flossie Wright, whose complexion was somewhat pale, and nodded.
"I’ll take her to the medical room." It wasn’t until Rowdy Brightwill moved closer that he saw Flossie Wright’s feet, covered in fresh blood. The more he looked, the higher his brow furrowed, and his face turned increasingly unpleasant.
The man lowered his gaze to Flossie Wright in his arms, who didn’t give away much, just maintaining a stance of "turning a blind eye and just watching". But apparently, she had no particular liking for Rowdy Brightwill.
But raising his eyebrows slightly, the man accurately saw the worry deliberately hidden in Rowdy’s eyes...
"The medical room is over there."
Meanwhile, Flossie Wright, being carried in his arms and merely playing the observer, suddenly lifted her hand and pointed in the direction of the medical room, thus clearly rejecting Rowdy Brightwill’s offer to escort her.
After being rebuffed by the man several times, and now rejected by Flossie Wright, Rowdy Brightwill’s face turned grim. Anger flashed across his face, as if he could burst into a rage at any moment.
Then, without a word, the man impudently added fuel to the fire and made his way towards the medical room, making Rowdy Brightwill visibly furious.
Rowdy watched as he departed, his hanging hand subconsciously gripping tight.
"Want to follow him?" Drake Easton, who didn’t understand why Rowdy was so angry, suddenly asked from beside him. After a brief pause and receiving no reaction, he added, "Flossie is also your soldier. Technically, it’s your responsibility to look after her."
Hearing this, Rowdy gave him a dark look, then marched fuming towards the medical room.
The army doctors at the medical room are always quite distinctive among the Forces, and this one was no exception.
The on-duty military doctor, who had received Flossie Wright, examined her injuries in a rather casual manner, briefly inspected the wound on her foot, then proceeded to re-wrap it.
Flossie guessed that if it weren’t for the insignia on the man’s military uniform, the doctor would have dismissed them right after the check-up by saying "you’ll be fine, just go back and rest,"
"You’re lucky. Look, even your bones aren’t broken."
As the doctor was dressing Flossie’s wound, he began to muse out of boredom. His sincere tone and bright smile clearly conveyed his relief at Flossie’s injury.
Flossie’s brow twitched, and she wisely chose to ignore it.
"Hey, are you from some leadership position? I don’t think I’ve seen you around the recruit camp." The doctor wasn’t bothered by the lack of response and quickly turned his attention to the man standing at the side. After finishing his sentence, he leaned in to Flossie as if realizing something, but his voice didn’t soften, "Is he your boyfriend?"
The moment that remark left his mouth, the doctor felt a chill down his spine.
He turned to look behind him, seeing the man’s back as he left and Rowdy’s warning glance from the doorway.
"Less pointless chatter might give you more time to save more people," Rowdy Brightwill said harshly, glancing at Flossie Wright then immediately turning to leave in the direction the man had gone.
The military doctor was left looking puzzled.
On the other hand, the man, who had just stepped out, realized something was missing. He frowned slightly, and the moment he hesitated, Rowdy Brightwill had already caught up.
"Wait!" Rowdy Brightwill caught up with the man, but before he could gather his thoughts, he was met with the man’s cold and deep eyes. His mind froze for a moment before he spoke unhappily, "How did you run into her?"
In that moment, a crafty light flashed in the man’s eyes. His face softened a few degrees as he looked solemnly at Rowdy Brightwill, saying, "Help me take care of her."
Wait, what?
Rowdy Brightwill was taken by surprise. But before he could inquire, the man had already left.
How did Flossie Wright get involved with this man...
What the hell is going on?!
Meanwhile, Flossie Wright, who had been bandaged and left on the bed, took out the metal nameplate she was holding.
Engraved on it was the owner’s name.
Glenn Hutchinson.
