Dawn was breaking, the night remained profoundly dark.
The quiet office building stood on open land, its solemn and austere aura confronting anyone who dared approach.
The office building had six floors in all, only accessible through the front or back doors.
The cold wind was desolate, the atmosphere, tense.
Nearly three hundred people divided into over a hundred teams were now circling this massive office building, the majority of them frowning, contemplating how to stealthily infiltrate the building.
Undoubtedly, there must be ambushers at the front and back entrances. If they rashly barged in, they would be wiped out in an instant, leaving only one other route...
Climbing the wall.
But this approach was not only risky, but they could also be unlucky and be killed as soon as they got inside.
"Where are we going in?"
Standing on the side of the office building, Belinda Nichols frowned at Flossie Wright, her frosty voice devoid of warmth.
She was not soliciting Flossie’s opinion, but asking if Flossie agreed.
After all, they were already here, and the only way up was to—climb the wall.
"Climb up."
Shrugging, Flossie Wright said nonchalantly.
As her words fell, a shadow flashed in the corner of her eye. Flossie slightly raised her eyebrows to see a figure in sea blue on the second floor, presently grasping the bottom edge of a window, moving as agilely as a cat.
Touching her nose, Flossie Wright seemed helpless, but without hesitation, she nimbly jumped onto the first floor, climbing deftly and without hesitation, swiftly and steadily like a cheetah, reaching the same height as Belinda in the blink of an eye.
Around this time, other new recruits started to take action. Some chose to climb the wall and others stormed through the front and back doors. Basically, very few hesitated and remained motionless on the spot.
"These damn fools."
Standing not far from the front door, Nathan Foster watched those reckless entrants, his eyebrows furrowed deep enough to squash a fly.
The enemy’s number was not large, they had only about thirty men, and the front and back doors were the enemy’s focus. Those idiots entering via these two routes was practically a death wish.
"Don’t worry, someone will get through."
Austin Shepherd patted his shoulder, and said casually.
Nathan Foster cast him an annoyed glance, completely unwilling to respond.
Whenever he was irked, Austin Shepherd would always say this.
As for the performance of these new recruits, Austin Shepherd never seemed impatient. It seemed as though no matter the outcome, there was no cause for concern. And yet, the training plan crafted by Austin Shepherd was heart-stopping even to Nathan Foster.
Rowdy Brightwill noticed it again, loudly proclaiming Austin Shepherd to be inhumane.
"Are the hostages in place?"
After a pause, Nathan Foster asked.
This plan was entirely arranged by Austin Shepherd, with Nathan Foster merely responsible for gathering the troops.
"Yes," Austin Shepherd nodded, "Let’s go."
Finished, he turned around and walked into the darkness of the night.
Nathan Foster stood still, his gaze locked on the front door.
At this point, some new troops had been sacrificed, running out shrouded in smoke, filled with regret but unable to change anything, resigned to their failures.
His face darkened further, Nathan Foster grumbled unpleasantly.
But, he didn’t hesitate either and quickly followed Austin Shepherd away.
In the past, the office building had been equipped with a set of cameras, normally unwanted, but necessary for now, unless the military officers collectively decided to revolt.
