"I need some money."
As soon as she was in front of Glenn Hutchinson, Flossie Wright spoke directly to him.
She didn’t have money.
Glenn Hutchinson did.
She would act as a middle person and let Perry Reed pay back later.
"How much?" Glenn Hutchinson asked without hesitation.
Flossie raised her hand and indicated a number.
Without a furrowed brow, Glenn Hutchinson asked directly, "When do you need it?"
Somewhat surprised, Flossie raised an eyebrow, "Before tomorrow."
Glenn Hutchinson responded.
Carefully observing him, Flossie couldn’t help but frown slightly.
The amount she mentioned was such that with Glenn Hutchinson’s current salary, it might take him until retirement to gather the sum. Though she knew the Hutchinson Family wasn’t lacking money, it was still somewhat unexpected that Glenn Hutchinson agreed to give her so much money without even asking a question.
Seeing Flossie scrutinizing him, Glenn Hutchinson asked again, "Anything else?"
"Nope." Flossie shrugged.
"Let’s go back."
Glenn Hutchinson extended his hand to Flossie.
Momentarily stunned, Flossie hesitated slightly, but after a while, she still took Glenn Hutchinson’s hand.
Naturally, Glenn Hutchinson tightened his grip on her hand.
Then he led her into the car.
The palm was calloused, yet broad and warm.
Glenn Hutchinson left in the evening.
Around six o’clock.
He left quietly, and Flossie didn’t see him off.
The entire afternoon, Flossie was in Belinda Nichols’ dormitory, playing poker with Belinda and Iris Dukes.
Iris Dukes was consistently at a disadvantage.
Devina Millet walked back and forth, finding Iris Dukes’ oblivious look toward her predicament utterly frustrating, and eventually went to another dormitory to write a summary, paper and pen in hand.
Out of sight, out of mind.
It wasn’t until seven in the evening that the three of them stopped playing poker.
"I’m hungry."
Rubbing her stomach, Iris Dukes pouted.
The energetic demeanor she had before collapsed in an instant.
As if all her energy disappeared in a flash.
"Want to go out?"
Putting away the cards, Flossie stood up and asked the two.
"Can we?" Upon hearing this, Iris Dukes immediately perked up, standing up swiftly, her eyes shining as she looked at Flossie, "How do we get out?"
"Doesn’t matter."
Belinda was quite nonchalant.
"Climb the wall." Flossie simply said, rubbing her nose.
"Oh—" Iris Dukes widened her eyes, looking eager and excited, "Won’t we get caught?"
"No," Flossie glanced at her and commented casually, "Not many can outrun you."
Iris Dukes scratched her head, smiling brightly.
She knew her stamina well.
Few could run better than her.
"Let’s go."
Flossie shrugged.
So, the two of them followed Flossie out of the dormitory door.
No one else was in the dormitory, so no one knew about their plan.
Yet, just as they reached the dormitory building’s entrance, the three of them bumped into Joshua Bailey.
"Flossie Wright!"
With sharp eyes, Joshua Bailey immediately called out to Flossie.
Flossie then stopped in her tracks.
Meanwhile, aware of her inability to lie, Iris Dukes consciously took a step back, hiding behind Belinda.

Compared to Glenn Hutchinson, Iris was not particularly afraid of him, but she was quite scared of Joshua Bailey.
