In almost the blink of an eye, Perry Reed and Glenn Hutchinson started fighting.
Their movements were swift, the moves clean and crisp, so fast it left onlookers dazzled, without even a chance to intervene.
Belinda Nichols instinctively pulled Flossie Wright back a step.
One is a captain of special forces, the other is the leader of a legendary mercenary corps; their skills, of course, need no further mention, but to reach such a point where even intervention is extremely difficult, now that’s truly terrifying.
Outside the small conference room, the two parties, eight people in total, watched their fight nervously. The unbelievably fast moves, after just a few rounds, immediately dismissed any thought these people had of stepping in to break up the fight.
If anyone charged in now, it would definitely mean they had a death wish.
"What should we do?" Belinda frowned, asking Flossie.
"Got a gun?" Flossie asked in frustration, furrowing her brows.
If she hadn’t come, the two would be quiet, yet as soon as she arrives, they start fighting—
Really makes you want to shoot them both dead!
"Yes." Belinda responded immediately.
"Give it to me."
Flossie stretched out her hand to Belinda.
However, just as she finished speaking, before Belinda could retrieve the gun, Flossie’s hand was already a step ahead, reaching for a pistol at Belinda’s waist, swiftly and cleanly drawing it out.
There was no time to aim at all; her eyes slightly lifted, the pistol in her hand seemed to point casually at one spot, then a "bang!" was heard, a bullet zipped through the gap in their fight at an invisible speed.
Simultaneously, Glenn Hutchinson and Perry Reed both stopped.
Flossie’s bullet flew right through the gap between them, a rather large gap, but even after the bullet passed, a distinct gust of wind could still be felt.
A gust of wind carrying immense killing intent.
"Had enough?"
Seeing them halt their actions, Flossie suppressed a trace of dark anger between her brows, coldly asked them.
Feeling the icy killing intent, Glenn Hutchinson and Perry Reed were surprisingly silent, subconsciously glancing at each other, and then, like children sulking, simultaneously averted their gazes.
An absolute case of mutual annoyance.
Such a scene, seen through the warriors’ and mercenaries’ eyes, was akin to witnessing the Arabian Nights, their eyes widening like copper bells.
Damn, is this the same Hutchinson they’d known?!
Damn, is this the same mercenary leader they’d known?!
Damn, who on earth is that woman?! Instantly reining in these two major threats!
"Come here!"
Flossie coldly glanced at Glenn Hutchinson, her cold words carrying a tone of mandatory command.
Hence, daring not to utter a word, Glenn Hutchinson obediently walked over to Flossie.
However, his face was indeed a deep black.
Flossie ignored him, instead she slightly turned her head, glancing at the displeased Perry Reed, and in a commanding tone said, "Stay put, ten o’clock, I’ll come for you."
Perry Reed’s brow slightly twitched.
This woman...
Let her win this time.
Giving Glenn Hutchinson a once-over, Flossie caught sight of a faint bloodstain seeping through his clothes, and her anger flared even more.
"Come with me."
Tossing the words grumpily, Flossie turned and left.
Without a word, Glenn Hutchinson followed directly behind her.
This time, even Belinda Nichols, who always sided with Glenn Hutchinson, couldn’t help but lift her eyes in surprise upon seeing him behave so obediently.
The scene—
seemed indeed quite incredible.
