"Are you here for Flossie?"
Upon reaching the two men, Becca Reyes effortlessly halted her steps and when she spoke, her gaze was fixated on Glenn Hutchinson, seemingly ignoring the pitiful Comrade Rowdy Brightwill.
Glenn Hutchinson answered indifferently. After sweeping a glance at her, his gaze naturally landed on Flossie Wright standing beside him.
However, compared to Becca Reyes’ enthusiasm, Flossie Wright was noticeably colder – she didn’t seem interested in interacting with them at all. She didn’t even pause and went straight to the back door of the kitchen.
However, with conman Becca Reyes swindling on her side, she didn’t let her have any chance, directly scooping up the basket in Flossie’s hand as she passed by.
"You keep busy, I’ll take it in."
A cunning smile flashed in Becca Reyes’ eyes. She snatched the basket and briskly entered through the back door of the kitchen.
Flossie raised an eyebrow but didn’t make further move, and timely put her steps to a halt.
"What’s the matter?"
Lifting her gaze to Glenn Hutchinson, Flossie calmly inquired, her body was cool and detached as if she was merely fulfilling a necessity.
Ever since they parted near the log cabin, Flossie Wright and Glenn Hutchinson had never faced each other directly. As much as Flossie appreciated him, she didn’t want too much contact with him either.
Some things can’t be changed. She can’t possibly accommodate everything about the Forces without any grudges. Accepting on a superficial level is her limit. She could also guess Glenn Hutchinson’s implications, she didn’t want Glenn Hutchinson to interfere with her choices.
Rowdy Brightwill, being thoroughly ignored, couldn’t help but feel disgruntled. He crossed his arms and stood by the side, despite his suspiciousness, he didn’t bother to interrupt the tense atmosphere between Flossie and Glenn Hutchinson.
With him being the third wheel, it would be difficult for these two to exchange affectionate glances and sweet words.
"Flynn wants to meet you."
Glenn Hutchinson, in no mood for small talk, got straight to the point.

Ever since he found out Glenn Hutchinson had a son, he had got some information for the past few days at home.

Of course, he had heard the child’s name before.
It seemed to be Flynn Hutchinson.
Glenn Hutchinson cast a leisurely glance at Rowdy Brightwill. Although he didn’t answer him, there seemed to be some indication of an affirmative answer.
Therefore, Rowdy Brightwill squeezed himself between Flossie Wright and Glenn Hutchinson and asked her with great caution, "Flossie, have you met his son?"
