In this world, convincing Flossie Wright was definitely not a task for the ordinary.
She, could not do it.
After taking all the items out, then tossing the SLR camera and the guitar back into the cabinet, Flossie Wright clapped her hands and raised her eyebrows towards Becca Reyes, "Are you packed up?"
Becca Reyes nodded as she looked at her.
Although she had many things, they were all well organized. Just taking them out and arranging them was enough.
Moreover, Flossie Wright and Jessie Grain had gone out for a bit, so even if she was slow, by now she should have been done.
"Oh, right."
Becca Reyes suddenly popped up from her chair.
The next moment, she had disappeared at the door.
Flossie Wright frowned slightly.
But, no sooner had she stepped out to dispose of the cardboard box, Becca Reyes re-entered the door with her.
"These are for you." As soon as Becca Reyes met Flossie Wright, she stuffed a whole set of skincare products into Flossie Wright’s arms.
Flossie Wright paused, her gaze sweeping over the skincare products in her hands.
Facial cleanser, toner, lotion, sunscreen.
And a pack of face masks.
Frowning, Flossie Wright took a few steps inside and noticed that Becca Reyes had placed an identical set on Belinda Nichols’s desk.
"This is for you."
Becca Reyes said with a smile.
Belinda Nichols glanced at her.
"Where did they come from?" Flossie Wright asked casually as she walked over.
"Had them shipped over, but I only got my hands on them just now because of the training," Becca Reyes shrugged and explained.
The Forces allowed skincare products, just no cosmetics.
Even though they were soldiers, they still had to find partners, especially in an age where appearances matter.
Being exposed to the sun and rain every day, it was common for their skin to have problems, with foreheads often showing two layers of skin so distinctly it was painful to watch.
Especially for girls, taking care of their own skin was more than justified.
It’s just that they were so busy with training before that they didn’t even have time to sleep, let alone spend time caring for their skin.
It was different.
While they still had training, they also had free time.
With a wave of her hand to her, Flossie Wright accepted the products.
It wasn’t really a big deal, after all.
Belinda Nichols was typically aloof; her silence meant she wouldn’t switch them back.
Becca Reyes, happy to give them away, didn’t expect gratitude in return.
So, it was Becca Reyes who steered the conversation onto other topics.
Belinda Nichols and Flossie Wright occasionally responded.
Jessie Grain was surfing the internet on her laptop, looking up a movie to watch.
Though they used a military-restricted network, it wasn’t much different from the internet; almost everything available on the outside could be found here as well.
Once the training was over, they all became quite idle.
If it had been their former selves, they would have had various ways to pass the time.
But now, after several months of devil training, their bodies and minds had completely adapted, and suddenly relaxing like this, it was hard to acclimate for a while.
So they had to find ways to endure these boring times.
"Flossie, you don’t play at night, how about playing one for us now?" After pulling the conversation for a while, Becca Reyes leaned towards Flossie Wright and coaxed, "Since your guitar is lying there, you can’t possibly not use it at least once, right?"
Flossie Wright was browsing news online. Upon hearing the suggestion, she absentmindedly murmured an "Mhm."
The dormitory suddenly fell silent.
After a pause, Becca Reyes blinked, looking at Flossie Wright who was focused on her laptop, and asked in a low voice, "Did you just say something?"
