"She committed murder with intent."
"Uh..." a slight pause, Bard Walker looked at him doubtfully, "You mean, let her go to jail?"
Glenn Hutchinson spoke indifferently.
This afternoon, he had already tested Flossie Wright’s intentions and estimated that she would not appeal, let alone take it to a military court.
He had always known that Flossie Wright was averse to trouble.
Not to mention how long Mia Lawson could be sentenced, Flossie Wright was currently participating in the selection training and should not be troubled by such affairs.
The person, he couldn’t possibly let go.
"Okay," Bard Walker nodded, then directly asked, "Tell me, what do you want to do?"
"Let’s make a bigger fuss about it." Glenn Hutchinson lazily lifted his eyes, his tone cold, "I’ll handle what comes next."
Bard Walker’s pupils shrank, warning, "You are a soldier!"
Seeing his serious expression, Glenn Hutchinson explained in disbelief, "I do not engage in illegal activities."
"Then it’s settled!"
Bard Walker’s heart finally returned to its place.
As long as it’s not illegal, everything is negotiable.
They have status, they have honor, they have rules.
As soldiers, they have many constraints.
Yet, the fact that Glenn could sit before him now, calmly discussing the matter, Bard couldn’t help but respect his self-control.
If it hadn’t been Flossie Wright who nearly plunged to her death this afternoon, but his own wife, he definitely could not have remained as calm as Glenn Hutchinson.
He would have likely made a scene at the Brigadier’s office.
What is a wife?
She is a treasure! The apple of one’s eye!
He couldn’t bear to see her suffer the slightest bit of distress, let alone suspect someone was trying to kill her behind his back!
Not even a finger would be allowed to touch her!
If it were him, he surely wouldn’t let Mia Lawson off easily, aiming for a solid ten years in prison, even if it meant spending every penny he had.
Glenn Hutchinson is no pushover either.
Simply letting the word out could utterly ruin Mia Lawson’s reputation.
She certainly wouldn’t be able to stay at the Military District hospital then.
As for how ruthless Glenn Hutchinson’s next move might be,
Bard Walker didn’t think it would be any less harsh than prison time.
"I remember your shooting skills are quite average."
Casually flipping open the book, Glenn Hutchinson glanced down at it briefly, his voice cold.
"..." Bard Walker grimaced and huffed, "It was a gift for Flossie Wright."
Glenn Hutchinson looked up at him.
Caught off guard for a moment, Bard Walker continued, "Rowdy Brightwill revealed that she wants to become a Sniper."
With a cool demeanor, Glenn Hutchinson commented dispassionately, "Your Snipers are not worthy of her."
"..." Stifled again, Bard Walker huffed in annoyance, retorting, "What do you mean they’re not worthy? My Snipers are also not bad, how are they not worthy?!"
Glenn Hutchinson gave him a sidelong glance.
Bard Walker was overcome with anger but found himself speechless.
Yet, inside he was seething with resentment.
How could one possibly compare with Glenn Hutchinson?!
The soldiers under Glenn Hutchinson’s command were the darlings of other families, selected from among the elite.
The frustrating part was that for many of these darlings, he remained utterly indifferent.
Dismissive!
His own soldiers might not be bad, but Glenn’s had better foundations, handpicked through a painstaking process from various military branches; in terms of strength...
Cough, there was naturally a bit of a gap.
