However, Flossie Wright was more concerned about what Becca Reyes might do next than she was about Janice Wood and Winsley Scott’s worries. She looked Becca Reyes up and down several times, and then lightly placed her hand on Becca Reyes’s shoulder. Her eyes twinkled with laughter, yet there was a touch of coldness to them.
"Go," she said, unhurriedly.
Becca Reyes, however, shivered involuntarily, feeling an inexplicable chill creep up her back.
The cooking class had just finished their chores, so it was mealtime in the cafeteria. The hungry soldiers crowded into the cafeteria like bees to a hive, quickly filling their plates with food and sitting down to eat. They generally ate as a group, so the cafeteria instantly buzzed with activity.
The only ones who could eat on time were the new recruits who had just returned from training. The veteran soldiers, on the other hand, could only dine on time if the Captain was feeling generous, or if they had urgent matters to attend to, prompting an early end to their training.
Among these new recruits, only Janice Wood and Nathan Foster had taken a leave of absence. Instead of going to the cafeteria to eat at the first opportunity, they waited for the Frogmen to finish training, and then asked Winsley Scott to meet them separately.

Janice Wood tilted her head and straightforwardly asked, "You do?"
On receiving another inquiry from Janice Wood, Winsley Scott finally responded, shaking his head vehemently to emphasize his denial, "No, no!"
Janice Wood nodded, sneaking a peek at Winsley Scott’s confused face, and abruptly fell silent.
