A Forces’ kitchen with such complete tools really is surprising.
"Cool, right?" the cooking class leader rubbed his hands and chuckled, "The Soldiers train so hard, they definitely can’t skimp on good food. This was all funded and remodeled by Captain and Captain Hutchinson without spending a dime of the Forces’ money."
Flossie Wright glanced at him.
"Alright now, you two take a seat. I’ll go make Dumplings for you."
As he said this, he pointed to a small dining table against the wall and spoke to the two of them.
Having spoken, he didn’t ramble on but walked straight toward the stove.
Flossie Wright and Belinda Nichols exchanged glances, not wanting to disturb their busyness, and went straight to the table to sit down.
In the few minutes of waiting, Flossie noticed that three cooks who were chopping vegetables kept glancing over at her.
Flossie was somewhat perplexed.
However, before she could figure it out, the cooking class leader’s Dumplings were ready.
"Dumplings coming up—"
A young cook, holding two plates of Dumplings, ran over with a big smile on his face.
The cooking class leader followed behind.
While passing the Dumplings to them, he ordered the cook, "Go, bring the soy sauce."
The cook called out to him cautiously.
"What is it?" the Captain eyed him.
"Captain." The cook called again, his eyes twitching as if hinting at something.
"What’s up?" the Captain completely unaware of anything.
"Oh dear," the cook cried out in distress and then moved closer to the Captain, urgently saying, "Wrong, that batch of Dumplings... wrong!"
The Captain was slightly startled.
After a pause, he finally caught on.
"If it’s wrong, it’s wrong. They’re all the same anyhow." The Captain waved it off, indifferent, but as soon as he turned his head and saw Flossie and Belinda looking at him, his expression immediately turned weird, "It’s fine, it’s fine. You carry on eating."
Saying this, he roughly pulled the cook away.
Flossie Wright and Belinda Nichols looked at each other.
What are they playing at?
It wasn’t long before that cook came running back, placing a dish of soy sauce on the table.
After giving them a glance, he nervously forced a smile, "Please eat, don’t be shy. I’ll make more Dumplings for you once you’ve finished."

Having said that, the cook ran off like a lunatic.
At this point, the two of them were even more puzzled.
But waiting for the Dumplings to get cold wasn’t an option either.
So, after some thought, Flossie Wright still picked up her chopsticks, grabbed a Dumpling, and then poked it open.
Just ordinary pork filling.
After she put it in her mouth, it tasted fresh and tender, with nothing out of the ordinary.
Having eaten one Dumpling, Flossie gestured with her eyebrows towards Belinda Nichols.
So, without further delay, the two of them tucked into the extra large plate of Dumplings.
The cooking class really is different with money; just the two plates of Dumplings for Flossie Wright and Belinda Nichols must have been no fewer than fifty.
Flossie Wright had already eaten dinner, so it was quite a struggle for her to eat.
After much difficulty, she finally finished that big plate of Dumplings.
But, at the very least, she safely finished them.
At this time, she was no longer concerned about the cooks’ and the Captain’s petty actions.
When Belinda Nichols was eating the last few Dumplings, she suddenly fell for a trick.
Belinda Nichols frowned.
Flossie Wright, who had just brought back two glasses of water, looked at her with furrowed brows.
Quickly, Belinda Nichols spat something out of her mouth.
With a "clang," it landed on the plate, producing a crisp sound.
The two of them looked closely.
It was a bullet shell.
With a glance, Flossie Wright immediately thought of something, her eyebrows involuntarily raising.
Was it popular to put bullet shells in dumplings in the cooking class?
If she remembered correctly, a year ago, the dumplings Captain Lin had made also had two bullet shells in them.
She and Becca Reyes had eaten them.
"Finally tasted one!"
Amidst her confusion, a voice filled with emotion came from behind.
Turning her head, Flossie Wright saw the cook who had served the dishes, now covering his mouth as if he hadn’t said anything.
The Captain, on the other hand, walked over with a smile.
"This bullet shell was sent specially by your friend, I think her name is Becca Reyes," said the Captain as he approached Flossie Wright, explaining with a smile, "She insisted on making you a serving of dumplings, saying that eating them would bring you good luck. But since you’re friends, I’m sure she won’t mind that the kid got it."
Flossie Wright was taken aback.
A moment later, she faced the Captain, her usually cold face softened slightly.
"Thank you."
Flossie Wright said, each word deliberate.
"What are you thanking me for? There’s just one thing, though, I need to ask a favor of you," the Captain laughed, then gestured towards the crowd of cooks, "They’ve all heard Old Lin talking about your amazing knife technique, and each one of them doesn’t believe it. What do you say, show them a little?"
As soon as he finished speaking, many disdainful glances were cast his way.
He was talking about them...
Who was the one who couldn’t wait to see Flossie Wright’s knife technique as soon as he heard about it?
If Flossie Wright wasn’t in training, he probably would have brought her here to show off a long time ago.
Without caring, Flossie Wright readily agreed.
Immediately, the cooks’ eyes lit up with excitement.
There was a good show ahead!
Almost simultaneously, everyone put down what they were doing, their eyes fixed on Flossie Wright, ready to watch her "performance."
Belinda Nichols also stood up.
"What should I cut?"
Approaching the chopping board, Flossie Wright raised her eyebrows slightly, asking the nearest cook.
The cook immediately replied, "We have two carp here."
Soon, two carp were placed on the chopping board, signaling to Flossie Wright that she could start whenever she was ready.
Flossie Wright approached and picked up a kitchen knife that was beside her.
One hand pinned the fish’s head down while the other held the knife.
In full view, her hand raised, and the knife fell.
In that moment, like a magic trick, with one slice she opened the belly of the fish, the innards falling into her hand, and then she threw them to the side. Following that, she removed the scales with a few quick cuts.
The kitchen knife reflected the light, dazzlingly bright.
A breeze came gently into the kitchen from the back door.
In less than a minute, the two neatly prepped fish were perfectly arranged on the chopping board.
Flossie Wright set down the knife.
As she looked up, she caught sight of the many astonished gazes. Her eyes flickered, but as her gaze swept the kitchen, it involuntarily paused.
For some reason—
Glenn Hutchinson was standing there.
