With a serious expression and tone, it was as if it was a promise.
"..." Perry Reed surprisingly had nothing to say.
After a while, Perry Reed managed to squeeze out a sentence with a livid face, "What’s going on between you and him?"
Flossie Wright leisurely held her teacup, sipping it slowly, as if she hadn’t heard Perry Reed’s words.
After quite some time, noticing Perry Reed’s increasingly displeased expression, Flossie hesitated for a moment before saying, "That’s between him and me."
Perry Reed brooded for a long while, feeling a surge of frustration and anger inside, not knowing how to vent it.
She really brushed it off neatly!
A moment later, Perry Reed’s stiff expression gradually softened. He raised his hand and grabbed Flossie’s hand across from him, forcing some sincerity into his expression, "Sweetheart, don’t be so formal. Your business is my business."
"..." After a two-second pause, Flossie shot him a peculiar glance, finally couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing.
Flossie’s eyes curved slightly, and a hint of amusement flashed deep in her gaze.
As a result, Perry Reed’s livid expression was successfully provoked once more.
This woman, soft or hard tactics don’t work on her!
Casually freeing herself, Flossie squinted and smiled, then forcefully changed the subject, "Let’s eat."
As soon as the words fell, the Boss brought the food to the table.
Elsewhere, these dishes would be nothing special, but in a place like this, they were more precious than the delicacies of Eastlandia.
But the Boss was all smiles, not stingy at all, offering the very best.
In this regard, what Perry Reed admired most was probably the woman across from him.
"How is it?"
Seeing Perry Reed take a bite of the greens, Flossie raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Average," Perry Reed replied, feeling displeased.
"Hmm?" Narrowing her eyes, Flossie’s tone lightly rose.
With a change of expression, looking at this stubborn and childish woman, Perry Reed had no choice but to amend, "Very good."
Thus, Flossie contentedly withdrew her gaze.
During this meal, under Flossie’s deliberate avoidance, the atmosphere between them remained relatively smooth, with no overly intense issues surfacing.
When they finished eating and left, Perry Reed realized that he was indeed firmly under this woman’s thumb.
"When are you going back?"
Pulling out the keys, Flossie asked Perry Reed.
Perry Reed narrowed his eyes, slipping a hand into his trouser pocket, his expression carrying a hint of leisure, curling his lips as he retorted, "Why should I go back?"
"Then where are you staying?" Flossie naturally asked, her brow slightly moving.
"Wherever you stay, I stay," Perry Reed replied with the same tone of inevitability.
Flossie got on the motorcycle and then slowly said, "Staying with us requires payment."
Perry Reed sat down behind her.
He lifted his fingers, gliding them gently through the locks of her hair, the action tender and flirtatious, yet his voice was cold and threatening, "They wouldn’t dare!"
Flossie was at a loss.
Starting the motorcycle, she drove off into the distance.
This time, when the two arrived at the campsite, the motorcycle’s fuel was completely exhausted, and it was already close to midnight.
The campsite wasn’t as bustling as during the day, but the patrolling people were still vigilant.
Upon hearing the sound, everyone tightened their grip on their guns, but upon seeing Flossie and Perry Reed, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
Flossie and Perry Reed walked inside side by side.
However, they hadn’t walked far when someone came up to meet them.
"R, Silvery, you’re back."
