Having said that, Regan Wright’s figure stilled slightly, whereas Flossie Wright did not delay any further. Taking slow yet deliberate steps, she moved towards the sofa nearby, sat down in an unhurried manner. Her movements exuded elegance and allure, her laid-back demeanor akin to a queen.
The entire living room fell silent as no one dared to break it.
All eyes on Flossie Wright were filled with wariness, as if she could strangle their throats at any moment, snuffing out their lives in an instant.
Pretentious actions would always be seen through, but a genuine display of power creates an impact that couldn’t be faked.
Without a doubt, Flossie Wright was not a pretentious person. The faint yet threatening aura she exuded couldn’t possibly be faked.
Not until this moment did Regan Wright truly realize that he could no longer control Flossie Wright’s fate. Without him noticing, Flossie had long veered off the path he had planned for her and his current power seemed to be unable to bring her back on track.
"What exactly do you want?"
Standing upset beside the sofa where Flossie sat, with a displeased expression and anger seeping through his voice, Regan’s tone had now lowered considerably, clearly wary of Flossie.
With Flossie Wright’s current abilities, it would be easy for her to take down their entire family.
If Regan had not initially ordered the bodyguards to restrain Flossie, he would not be wary of her now. But he was the one who had led the initiative, and if Flossie were to turn her back on family ties and took action, he truly wouldn’t be able to do anything to stop her. Taking Flossie to the Bureau would be even more impossible.
The disgrace of their family absolutely could not become known to outsiders.
Flossie leaned back in her chair, slightly lifted her eyelids, and cast a sidelong glance at him, then her gaze shifted to the side, seemingly hinting at something.
Regan was so angry that his body trembled, yet at this moment he could only let Flossie be. He sat down angrily on the long sofa beside him, his gaze fixed on Flossie, not moving away.
"Which thing do you want to talk about?" Flossie asked leisurely while pouring herself a cup of tea. She then casually crossed her legs, blowing on the tea while speaking to Regan, a faint smile in her eyes. "My escape, the loss of several shops owned by your darling son-in-law, or perhaps, the fact that I’ve promised to marry a man who already has a child?"
Regan’s countenance sobered as he scrutinized this seemingly different daughter once again. She knew everything and understood their reason for waiting for her here. This was not the daughter he knew who was infatuated with Rowdy Brightwill or spent her days in vanity and fashion or was prone to explosive temper and blamed everyone else.
She really had changed.
One night might not be enough to change a person, and Regan didn’t know what she’d gone through during her four months in the Forces, but that period was sufficient to change a person.
He really didn’t know whether this change was good or bad.
"Is the man you’ve chosen truly Glenn Hutchinson?" Avoiding the first two issues incidentally, Regan jumped straight to the last topic, looking somewhat hesitant.
If it were about letting the eldest daughter of the Wright family marry a man who already had a child, it was something that no one would agree with. However, if that man were Glenn Hutchinson...
That would be a different story.
There are always some special people in this world for whom special things can happen.

"Does it matter?"
Flossie lazily lifted her eyes, having already read Regan’s thoughts clearly.
