But now this cook, who seemingly sprang from nowhere, was blatantly romancing Glenn Hutchinson right in front of her. The audacity of declaring, "Tell me when you get tired of playing", truly boiled her blood!
If possible, Mia Lawson wished she could stick every pin in this woman’s face, destructing her tauntingly smug smile once and for all!
Mia pursed her lips, refusing to give in, and asked Glenn, "When did you two start seeing each other?"
"What does that have to do with you?" Flossie Wright coolly cut her off, a hint of indifference laced in her cold response.
"You!" Mia was instantly furious, hatred burning in her eyes, "I was not speaking to you, mind your own business!"
Flossie simply lowered her gaze and chose not to respond any further. For such insignificant matters, she simply couldn’t be bothered to speak.
If anyone were to hassle her man in the future, she would have him kick them away long before it would be her turn to deal with such troublemakers.
However, she was annoyed to have bumped into Glenn Hutchinson, the unlucky man, during her casual stroll. It was always a mess with him around.
Glenn Hutchinson coldly glanced at the nagging Mia. His voice held an icy, intimidating authority as he said, "She represents me. Any objections?"
Mia, momentarily blinded by her fury, suddenly felt a chill spread across her cheeks. His gaze seemed to freeze her where she stood, her anger quickly replaced with a feeling of helpless terror.
"Neither of you will end well!"
Stomping her foot in frustration, Mia shouted at the pair before dashing towards the stairwell, disappearing into the distance.

Flossie was taken aback by Mia’s fleeing figure. Watching the white shadow vanish into the distance, she was reminded of a terrified prey in the forest.
"Can you let go now?"
Flossie quirked an eyebrow at the man beside her, the grip on her hot water bottle tightening ever so slightly.
Amused by the cunning, fox-like woman in his arms, Glenn Hutchinson’s smile widened, "Alright."
As he released Flossie, his movement was casual, yet paused slightly upon touching her arm. Recalling the weights she’d been carrying the day prior, Glenn was pleased to see her maintaining a distance immediately after he let go.
"Captain, consider this a return of your favor."
Brushing the duts off her shoulders, Flossie was nonchalant, treating it like a simple favor without a second thought.
However, as she turned to leave, a fleeting spark of irritation flashed across her eyes. Swiftly, the spark was gone, and she resumed her serene composure.
Time and time again.
This shameless jerk had better pray for mercy from her hands.
"Isn’t the water ready yet?"
Just as Flossie was about to depart, a question rang out from around the corner.
It was Rowdy Brightwill, unable to resist rushing over.
Flossie squinted slightly, turning to look at Rowdy Brightwill’s handsome face. However, as he spotted Glenn Hutchinson, his brows immediately furrowed, his body tense as if preparing to face an enemy.
"I’m going now." Flossie gave him a dismissive wave, refusing to waste any more time, and quickly left.
