Then why bother training at all? Better to retire and go home to mommy and daddy!
"Flossie Wright."
Cassie Ferguson called out icily.
Her eyes were like cold ice, slowly taking two steps towards this side, with a hint of hostility spreading from between her eyebrows.
With a slight curve of her lips, Flossie Wright tilted her head slightly, meeting Cassie’s gaze.
"You think you’re done after talking big?"
Cassie asked, pausing after every word, her gaze fixed on Flossie, filled with extreme animosity.
She caught Flossie’s weakness and mercilessly pulled it out into the open.
Just this bit of trouble, and she couldn’t handle it?
Lifting her eyes, Flossie raised the brim of her hat a bit, and the figures of Cassie and Bonnie Reyes entered her view completely.
"I think you’re mistaken," Flossie began casually, "Having you two with me is no different than having a dog. Whether or not I feed the dog is entirely up to my mood."
The implication was, if Cassie and Bonnie misunderstood her intention, trying to push all the responsibility onto Flossie, it would be like they were casting themselves in the role of the "dog."
Throughout the entire day, Flossie had identified the direction, Flossie had chosen the road, and they hadn’t exerted any effort.
Even if they knew the route, they didn’t speak up or share it.
By not sabotaging them halfway through, Flossie had already shown more kindness and fairness than necessary.
And now they were picking on her faults?
Then they were truly choosing the wrong method.
"Flossie Wright!"
Cassie’s eyebrows were surrounded by darkness.
"Flossie Wright, what do you mean by that?!" Bonnie also stepped forward, glaring at Flossie with anger.
To compare them to dogs?
How could that be tolerated?!
It was Flossie Wright who was arrogant and overconfident; she had been confident in bringing them along before, and now, what? Afraid they might drag her down?
What kind of person does that?!
"It’s quite simple," Devina Millet, who had been listening on the side with glee, narrowed her eyes and couldn’t help but interrupt, "If you willingly degrade yourselves to the level of dogs, then go blame her for not feeding you. If you had a bit of self-awareness, you wouldn’t think of taking advantage of her."
As soon as she finished speaking, Devina felt a chill creeping up her spine.
Instinctively looking to the side, she met Cassie’s gaze.
The chill spread, the murderous aura appeared, and for a moment, Devina felt a stiffness pass over her.
It was not until she realized the rifle on her shoulder and her fingers tightened around it that the fleeting fear was swept away by a sense of security.
An unexpected voice came out of nowhere.
Just as she regained her composure, hearing this voice, Devina immediately turned around.
What greeted her was a wild rabbit falling from the sky.
The sudden rabbit made Devina’s movements somewhat frantic, and she quickly raised her hand to catch it steadily.
However, it also hit her rather hard.
Thus, that bit of good mood she just had, in the consecutive actions of Cassie and Flossie, disappeared without a trace.
"Go build the Sanctuary," Flossie ordered succinctly.
"What about you?"

Devina asked with a slight frown.
"I’ll get some more food."
Standing up straight, Flossie put her hand in her pocket and answered lazily.
Gazing down at the plump wild rabbit in her hand, Devina’s mouth twitched slightly.
That rabbit was more than enough for the two of them to eat.
Was Flossie deliberately trying to annoy them?
Devina couldn’t understand how Flossie was able to gather food so quickly.
But one thing she knew.
Flossie was a freak, yet among all the students in this batch, there weren’t many other freaks like her.
She believed that Cassie and Bonnie could get food, but definitely not as easily as Flossie.
So, if Flossie wasn’t out to deliberately upset people, Devina wouldn’t believe it even if she were beaten to death.
Flossie was the first to leave.
Devina didn’t linger either, giving Cassie and Bonnie a provocative glance before starting to look around for a good spot to set up the Sanctuary.
Half an hour later.
Flossie came back with two big fish.
And they were both cleaned.
"There are fish in the nearby stream?"
Devina, who had just lit the campfire, looked at the big fish in Flossie’s hands and asked in astonishment.
Building the Sanctuary near the water would provide them with a lot of conveniences.
Like drinking water, like processing food.
Devina had come here to set up the Sanctuary guided by the sound of the stream.
So, she had specially gone to the nearby stream to check.
From what she had noticed, there shouldn’t have been such big fish.
Just a few small ones.
"Lucky," was all Flossie said, finding an excuse without addressing it directly.
Of course, there wouldn’t be such big fish in the nearby stream.
Just like the rabbit, these two fish were also gifts from heaven.
It’s free food, after all; Devina wouldn’t find the flaw, so let her guess.
The fact that heaven still lingered nearby was rather surprising to Flossie.
She hadn’t heard from heaven since Perry Reed left.
"Fine, as long as there’s food," Devina said, spreading her hands, not delving into such matters.
After speaking, Devina pointed to the dead rabbit by the campfire and threw the problem back, "The rabbit is still there, you handle it."
Flossie responded with silence.
She had no expectations of getting Devina to do it anyway.
"By the way," Devina suddenly remembered something, tossed another log into the fire, stood up, and inched closer to Flossie with a secretive tone, "They’re downstream, within a hundred meters."
Flossie hummed nonchalantly, appearing indifferent to the information.
"Also," Devina shrugged, asking directly, "Tell me, why did you insist on bringing them with you? You should be able to tell that Cassie is not someone to be trifled with. If you really piss her off, she could be plotting against us somewhere."
Flossie glanced at her indifferently.
After a brief pause, the corners of her lips curved slightly, "I’m waiting for her to dig a pit."
