Flossie Wright gave her a sidelong glance, paused slightly, then suddenly hooked her lips into a smile, "You’re welcome."
"Now that you’ve been given some color, you can really open a dye shop, huh?!" Jocelyn Carrington pursed her lips.
Withdrawing her gaze, Flossie shrugged with an air of nonchalance.
She was indeed being polite.
"You, start packing your things," Becca Reyes shook her head and pressed a set of clothes into her arms.
Jocelyn Carrington hurriedly reached out to catch them.
Yet, she felt supremely relieved inside.
All this time, she had felt out of sorts regarding Flossie.
From the initial displeasure, annoyance, and irritation at the mere sight of her, to the subsequent hatred, to the recent entanglements...
She had thought that even if she left, Flossie would still be a knot in her heart.
However, with just a few of Flossie’s recent actions, her knot had completely unraveled.
Flossie had never actually held any grudge against her, had she?
It was just her own inability to tolerate certain things that had created their constant opposition.
Moreover, Flossie later on didn’t even take her seriously.
There was no need for her to leave with a lump in her chest.
"By the way, Flossie," walking to the wardrobe, Jocelyn Carrington was about to open the door when she caught a glimpse of Flossie’s wardrobe and suddenly called out, "Your military knife..."
Just as she took out a steamed bun, Flossie turned her head at the sound and arched an eyebrow, "Want it?"
"Just a look," Jocelyn Carrington quickly said. "I’m about to leave, just let me satisfy my last bit of curiosity."
Jocelyn Carrington truly coveted Flossie’s wardrobe.
Although not particularly fond of knives, after learning about different knives a while back, Jocelyn recognized a few famous ones that she thought she had seen in Flossie’s wardrobe.
Therefore, she had always been curious.
There was no opportunity.
And she was too embarrassed to ask Flossie.
Watching her for a few moments, noticing her slightly nervous expression, Flossie didn’t hesitate, directly saying, "Sure."
It was just a few knives, after all. It’s not like they would diminish with a glance.
Although she didn’t like others randomly looking through her possessions, if the person’s attitude was good, she didn’t feel the need to fuss over it.
Becca Reyes, on the other hand, raised her eyes in surprise.
Was Jocelyn Carrington really that nervous?
No wonder Becca Reyes was baffled; after all, Flossie’s military knives didn’t seem all that special to her.
Every time Flossie got a new knife, she would go have a look and then listen to Flossie share her knowledge.
It was rare to see Flossie, usually so aloof, showing interest in something, so naturally, she was all for supporting it.
Besides, as friends, there was nothing wrong with looking at each other’s things.
She and Belinda Nichols would often rummage through Flossie’s wardrobe looking for specialties.
It was only Jocelyn Carrington...
"I’m opening the door now, okay?"
With approval granted, Jocelyn Carrington’s eyes lit up, and she ran directly to Flossie’s wardrobe.
The wardrobe door opened.
At the same time—
Outside the dormitory door, two figures came in.
It was Mariana Buck and Jessie Grain.
"Holy shit, these knives, these knives, aren’t they all famous ones? Where’d you get the money for all this?!"
The two stopped just in time to hear Jocelyn Carrington’s exclamations.
They glanced over out of reflex.
With one look, Mariana Buck saw Flossie’s open wardrobe and quickly put two and two together, her gaze inadvertently lingering.
Those military knives soon filled her field of vision.
It seemed...
There was a new one?
Mariana Buck, obsessed with knives, found her eyes involuntarily freezing over.
