"Okay." Rowdy Brightwill turned his head, avoiding Flossie Wright’s gaze.
Flossie Wright curled her lips, finished the last bit of her drink, and then passed the empty bottle to Rowdy Brightwill, "Go back and cry, she doesn’t like it."
Receiving the empty bottle, Rowdy Brightwill muttered a response.
Flossie Wright lowered her eyelids, her gaze falling on that photo, the curve of her smile gradually fading away.
She couldn’t quite accept this.
She was a bit annoyed.
She wasn’t very happy.
But more than anything, she felt powerless.
Not having good alcohol tolerance, after a few sips of liquor, she was already drunk. So Flossie Wright’s thinking wasn’t too comprehensive, even a bit stuck in a dead end.
Yet once she looked at the photo, the harsh reality struck her, clearing her mind just a bit.
"Do you think she," Rowdy Brightwill suddenly turned his head, his eyes bloodshot, his voice hoarse, "will still be picky with food?"
"Probably." Flossie Wright looked up at the sky, which was pitch black.
"If I had known, I wouldn’t have forced her to eat other things." Rowdy Brightwill said gloomily.
"She didn’t mind." Flossie Wright glanced at him again.
Rowdy Brightwill blinked his big eyes, tears silently flowing down once more, the scalding tears turning icy cold the moment they overflowed.
"I miss her so much."
Speaking slowly, Rowdy Brightwill bit his lip, trying his hardest not to cry out loud.
So Flossie Wright shifted her focus, looking at him, and suddenly didn’t look away.
After a long while, Flossie Wright let out a long breath, forcibly suppressing the emotions in her heart.
It was a whole hour later that Glenn Hutchinson came looking for Flossie Wright.
When he arrived at the grave, he only saw Flossie Wright and Rowdy Brightwill, both sitting next to the tombstone. In this eerie place, they didn’t seem to be afraid at all. It wasn’t until he got closer that he realized these two were already drunk.

Glenn Hutchinson swept his flashlight around.
Rowdy Brightwill seemed to have just cried, his eyes still a bit red, but he looked exhausted. As Glenn Hutchinson’s flashlight passed over, he wearily raised a hand to block it, while Flossie Wright pulled her coat tightly around her. Her small face was flushed bright red from the cold, and her hair was streaked with snow, which melted and froze into ice crystals, yet she seemed completely unaware.
She saw Glenn Hutchinson and felt the light cast over, but she didn’t even blink.
Either she was completely drunk or completely numb from the cold.
Glenn Hutchinson, feeling both helpless and concerned, directly walked over and scooped Flossie Wright up.
Almost instinctively, Flossie Wright snuggled into his embrace.
When Glenn Hutchinson lifted his leg to leave, he suddenly realized that Rowdy Brightwill was still motionless. He crouched down, waved the flashlight in front of Rowdy Brightwill, and his voice, icy and piercing, said, "Brother, you don’t need me to carry you, do you?"
At that, Rowdy Brightwill was suddenly much more awake from the fright.
At this point, he finally realized that the one who had come up to him and coldly called him "Brother" was Glenn Hutchinson.
Almost immediately, Rowdy Brightwill jumped up from the ground.
Throwing the flashlight to him, Glenn Hutchinson worried that he would lag behind, so he raised his eyebrows and said, "Walk in front."
Rowdy Brightwill instinctively responded.
He was still somewhat drunk, but his mind clearer, he staggered a couple of steps forward, then suddenly steadied. He shone the flashlight towards the tombstone, gazed at it for a few moments, then finally moved his gaze forward to walk.
Glenn Hutchinson picked up Flossie Wright’s dim flashlight.
Using the light, he waved it in front of the grave, seeing only a remaining bottle with no others, and a headache began to throb.
Is this how they came to pay their respects?
