Mission, urban counter-terrorism.
A group of terrorists have infiltrated a nearby city, carrying a batch of homemade bombs, though the exact quantity is unknown.
The team of more than ten people has been hiding in the city for several days, placing timed homemade bombs inside a mall, set to detonate at six in the evening. Bomb disposal experts are searching for the bombs while organizing the evacuation of the people inside the mall.
Additionally, the terrorists might still be carrying some bombs on their persons.
The mission given to Aaron Doom is to capture all the terrorists and eliminate every threat!
"Where are the others?"
After hearing Dylan Murray’s report, Glenn Hutchinson furrowed his brows and asked.
"Jullian Rankin has taken a group and gone ahead," Dylan Murray replied.
"Alright," Glenn Hutchinson nodded slightly, with a somewhat heavy expression, "Bring along Dallion Collins and Jude Marsh."
Dylan Murray nodded expressionlessly.
Out of the five instructors, only Joshua Bailey needs to stay behind to keep watch, while Glenn Hutchinson also brought Flossie Wright onto the helicopter.
Though he wasn’t keen on letting Flossie Wright join the mission, knowing Flossie’s character, she would definitely persuade him to take her along, so it would save the trouble of wasting time arguing.
However, Joshua Bailey, who was the only one left at the base, held a deck of playing cards, looking weary as he watched the helicopter leave.
Goddammit, why was he the one left behind?!
On the helicopter.
The five of them had changed into combat uniforms and took additional equipment.
Blanks were replaced with live ammunition, the pistol and military knife were indispensable, and other guns were distributed according to each’s area of expertise.
These weapons were temporarily acquired, different from those they usually use, and what ended up in Flossie Wright’s hands was a common KBU88 sniper rifle. She took some time to adjust it and got quite handy with it.
The location was right in the neighboring city, very close, and half an hour later, the helicopter successfully arrived above the mall.
As the ropes were thrown down, Flossie Wright paid special attention to the situation below.
Batches of people in SWAT uniforms were maintaining order below, and faintly visible were a few in army combat gear.
The helicopter’s roaring sound was loud around her, but the commotion and questioning from the street below were also clear to Flossie Wright.
"Let’s go down."
While contemplating, Glenn Hutchinson grabbed Flossie Wright’s hand.
"Alright, you all go down first." Flossie Wright nodded slightly, holding up her sniper rifle and observing the ground below.
Rappelling has certain dangers, usually requiring cover from a sniper or machine gunner to prevent enemy attacks from below. With so many people below, terrorists could easily blend in, so they must be cautious.
Glenn Hutchinson glanced at her, waved his hand, and let the others go down first.
Being individuals who have experienced countless trainings, they grabbed the ropes and rapidly slid down, one after another, also attracting considerable attention from the onlooking crowd.
Flossie Wright was the last one to descend.
However, relatively speaking, her speed was a bit slower.
She spotted two suspicious individuals from the helicopter, explained their exact locations to Glenn Hutchinson, then grabbed the rope to descend.
"How’s it going?"
As soon as her feet touched the ground, Flossie Wright strode over towards Glenn Hutchinson.
Behind her, the helicopter that fulfilled its mission didn’t linger, retrieving the ropes and then disappeared from the public’s sight.
Glenn Hutchinson fiddled with his earpiece slightly, paused a bit, then raised his eyes to look at Flossie Wright, saying, "Caught one, found a gun on him."
Flossie Wright nodded, glanced around the surroundings, then asked, "What about the others?"
"They’re all here, searching for suspicious individuals."
"Needle in a haystack?" Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow.
"More or less," Glenn Hutchinson nodded, "We can only rely on the information from the captured individual."
This batch of terrorists were clearly prepared. Everyone had some self-defense weapon, probably each has a planned escape route. In this big city, the most terrifying aspect is these terrorists, who can involve innocent people at any moment.
The only thing they can do is to try their best to prevent involving the public.
And then, find and capture the terrorists mingling among the crowd quickly!
"Probably still people wandering nearby, go find a spot." After receiving a few more reports, Glenn Hutchinson instructed Flossie Wright.
Flossie Wright nodded without hesitation.
She was the sniper, responsible for this task.
