Flossie Wright’s marksmanship was top-notch among the recruits; even the Instructors couldn’t teach her anything.
And with several years of experience under her belt, Jessie Grain as a Sniper couldn’t be compared to ordinary people.
Therefore, for the general shooting competition, Nancy Phillips directly skipped it.
She took Flossie Wright and Jessie Grain away from the outdoor Shooting Range to a particular area within the city’s range.
Moving target shooting.
Of course, bringing them here was not just for the competition but to see for real if Flossie Wright and Jessie Grain, who had been handpicked for Sniper training, truly qualified.
"You all know about moving targets, right?"
As she went to fetch the Guns, Nancy Phillips asked.
"I do," Jessie Grain answered calmly, then turned her head to look at Flossie Wright.
Flossie Wright nodded as well.
In the Forces, she hadn’t actually seen moving targets, but since she loved guns and shooting, she had seen all kinds of shooting scenarios, not to mention such a standard and common moving target.
Moving targets involve tracking and shooting at a target moving parallel to the shooting line, within a designated time and area.
The time ranges from 2.5 to 5 seconds.
The area should be, by reason, 2 meters or 10 meters, but here it had been extended to 50 meters, allowing for shooting at will.
This should be a pig moving Shooting Range; a moving target range is a scaled-down version of a pig moving range, with a maximum distance of only 10 meters, but it’s not usually this spacious.
With small-caliber rifles and unsupported shooting, maintaining a steady rotational movement is required. This demands a certain level of thinking, response, judgment, and psychological self-control from the shooter.
"The range, 50 meters, using a 5.6mm small-caliber rifle, how does that sound?"
One after the other, Jessie Grain and Flossie Wright responded once more.
Soon after, Jessie Grain asked, "Standard speed or mixed speed?"

Nancy Phillips was taken aback.
Clearly, she hadn’t expected Jessie Grain to take the initiative to ask this.
Standard speed means 30 runs at a slow pace followed by 30 at a fast pace, with the shooter firing a total of 60 rounds.
Mixed speed refers to fast and slow paces alternating irregularly, with the shooter not knowing the speed in advance and having to make a judgment based on the appearance of the target. A total of 40 rounds are fired.
Nancy Phillips had been considering an even pace as it would have reduced the difficulty.
After some thought, Nancy Phillips looked at Flossie Wright and asked, "What do you think?"
Flossie Wright, half-squinting her eyes and struggling to stand straighter, lazily answered, "I don’t mind."
No matter what method, she didn’t care, and her competitive drive was almost nonexistent.
Weak and shaky, the fact that she could stand was already a huge challenge. Her senses were almost numb, leaving her no mind to bother with other matters.
"Alright then," Nancy Phillips nodded after thinking it over and made up her mind, "Mixed speed."
The more challenging it was, the clearer their abilities would be revealed, as well as the gap between them.
In a 100-meter prone shooting event, perhaps they could both score a perfect ten, and to others, their results would look the same, but with the moving targets now...
Their scores might not be the same at all.
Nancy Phillips had thought Flossie Wright wouldn’t be able to take control, but now that Flossie showed an indifferent attitude, it was no longer necessary to consider her preference.
Quickly, Nancy Phillips found two people, had them adjust the machinery properly, and handed the two Guns over to Flossie Wright and Jessie Grain so they could get ready to shoot beforehand.
Gun in hand, aiming, Flossie Wright furrowed her brows tightly, feeling as if her head would split open, with fingers holding the gun trembling slightly.
Nancy Phillips stood in the distance, watching.
